Interrogator Prevents Saeid Hossainzadeh from Having Medical Furlough

HRANA News Agency – Judicial officials have said to Saeid Hossainzadeh that the interrogators prevented him from having furlough. This is while, the case has entered into court processing long times ago, and by issuance of the final sentence, the interrogators are not allowed to interfere in the case anymore.

2 Civil Rights Activists Tried in Tehran

HRANA News Agency – The court hearing for “Puria Ebrahimi” and “Shokofeh Azar Masouleh”, two civil and social activists was held in Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court, by Judge Ahmadzadeh, on Wednesday 2nd March. In this trial which lasted two hours, along with these two civil and social activists, Judge Salvati, lawyers, prosecutors and representatives of the Ministry of Intelligence were present.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Shokofeh Azar Masouleh had been sent from Evin prison to the court and, according to one of the attendees, by accepting a pay slip, she may be released next week on the bail. Torture, Harassment and Forced Confessions; Iranian Security Police

HRANA News Agency – The Chief of Police in Tehran, Hossein Sajedinia has announced the arrest of more than a hundred “Hooligans” in Tehran in the form of “dealing with disrupting the social order and norm-breakers”.  Informed sources have said to HRANA’s reporter that Police have forced them to confess against themselves by prohibiting phone calls and visits and having lawyer and beating them.
According to the sources of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), about 165 people in various parts of Tehran were arrested by the security forces in the form of “dealing with disrupting the social order and norm-breakers” from January to February. Nahid Gorji Sentenced to 3 Years in Prison

HRANA News Agency – Nahid Gorji, social activist, has been sentenced to 3 years imprisonment by the appeal court and the sentence has been sent to the executive branch. The resident of Mashhad was released on the bail after a year of detention this year.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Nahid Gorji was arrested by the intelligence forces at her home on October 11, 2014 and after the inspection of her house, she was transferred to the revolutionary court of Koohsangi in Mashhad and then to an unknown location. After two weeks, the bail of 400 million thomans was issued for her, according to her family the amount was too heavy and they could not provide it. Imprisoned Teacher Prohibited of Visiting his Family

HRANA News Agency – Mahmoud Beheshti Langeroudi, imprisoned teacher, chose to relinquish his right to prison visit by not wearing a prison uniform in order to “protect his dignity and integrity as a human and as an imprisoned teacher and teachers’ union activist”. While the imprisoned teacher’s family were waiting in the visitation hall holding a permit from the prosecutor’s office, he refused to wear the prison uniform and has called the insistence of the authorities of Ward 7 on him to wear the prison uniform illegal.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mahmoud Beheshti’s family were present on time at the prison for the private visitation which is only allowed once a month, and after the routine procedure and about one and half hour of waiting in the visitation hall, prison authorities notified them that the visit had been cancelled. HRANA News Agency – Asgar Akbarzadeh, civil rights activist was released on the bail of 10 million tomans from Ardabil intelligence detention center on March 4th.

Asadullah Asadi Tried in the Revolutionary Court in Tabriz

HRANA News Agency – The second and final session of the second day of interrogation of Asadullah Asadi was held in branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court in Tabriz on March 21st. This activist had been arrested on Wednesday, January 20th, and was released on the bail from prison on February 31st.
According to the sources of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), “disobeying police orders”, “propaganda against the system”, “disturbing public order” and “slogans and writings against the authorities” are the charges against him. A Civil Rights Activist Arrested in Ardabil

HRANA News Agency – Asgar Akbarzadeh, Turkish (Azari) activist in Ardabil, was arrested by the intelligence forces. The reasons of the arrest and the charges against him are still unknown.

Abbas Lesani Ended his Hunger Strike

HRANA News Agency – Abbas Lesani, Turkish (Azari) civil activist ended his hunger strike after being returned to the ward and getting the right of having phone calls. The civil rights activist, resident of Ardebil was sentenced to one year in prison on charge of “propaganda against the regime” and was exiled to Shiraz prison.

3 Artists Sentenced to Imprisonment and Fine by the Appeal Court of Tehran

HRANA News Agency – Three artists have been sentenced each to three years in prison, three years prohibition from activities and 20 million tomans fine by Branch 54 of the Tehran Appeals Court. According to informed sources the final sentence of the musicians Mehdi Rajabian and Yusef Emadi and filmmaker Hossein Rajabian, before delivering them, has been sent to the executive branch in Evin Court (Shahid Moghadasi Court).
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), each of the three artists had been sentenced to six years in prison in the first stage by Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Moghiseh, on charges of insulting religious sanctities and propaganda against the regime.
