Bahai Woman Died because of Lethal Poisoning in Shiraz

HRANA News Agency – Leila Kargar, a 42-year-old Bahai woman living in Shiraz, has been poisoned and killed by an unknown person, using Aluminium Phosphide, a powder that is used to kill insects and rodents.

30 Sunni Men Arrested in Village of Nasir Abad

HRANA News Agency – Iranian security forces have arrested at least 30 people in a series of raids earlier today in the village of Nasir Abad in Sarbaz, Sistan-Baluchestan province.

Arash Aslanpoor Sentenced to another Year in Prison

HRANA News Agency – Branch number 15 of the revolutionary court sentenced Arash Moghadam Aslanpoor to a year in prison because of a case that was opened after the riot of security forces to ward number 350 in April 2014. He was already sentenced to 8 years in prison.
According to Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Arash Moghadam Aslanpoor attended his trial in branch number 15 of the revolutionary court with chief judge Salavati, on Monday December 29. Security Forces Prevented Erfane Halghe Followers from Peaceful Gathering

HRANA News Agency – The peaceful protest of Erfane Halgheh (Interuniversalism Mysticism) followers was stopped after Police intervened and prevented the gathering. Protestors then moved to the Iran Bar Association and joined Nasrin Sotoudeh in her strike.

13 Prisoners Including 4 Women Executed in One Day in Iran

HRANA News Agency – Four women in Bam prison, 2 men in central prison of Bandar Abbas and 7 men in Shahab prison, in Kerman, were executed by hanging, on Thursday.

HRANA News Agency – Shoresh Ayeneh Bokani and Salar Saeidi, after 3 months in solitary confinement are still in suspended status after 3 months in solitary confinement.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Shoresh Ayneh Bokani, son of Osman, born in 1981 and Salar Saeidi, son of Seyed Reza, born in 1993, both from Mahabad, were arrested by security forces on 5th October at the day of one of Muslims’ Eid, and were transferred to Intelligence office in Uremia. Reza Boukani Summoned and Charged at the Revolutionary Court

HRANA News Agency – On 30 December 2014, Reza Boukani, former Political Prisoner was summoned and charged by Islamic Revolutionary Court. He was kept in custody for 5 hours and then was released on 70 Million Tomans bail.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), during the last week, Reza Boukani a former Political Prisoner was summoned by Branch 3 of Islamic Revolutionary Court via a phone call. After attending the court on 30 December, he was charged with “propaganda against the regime through connection with foreign media and attending illegal gatherings”. Several Bahais Arrested in Abadeh

HRANA News Agency – On December 29, 2014, agents from the Ministry of Intelligence arrested Farshid Rastegar and a number of Bahai students who had gathered in his home in Abadeh, a town approximately halfway between Isfahan and Shiraz.

Two Months in the Morgue: The Unburied Bahai of Ahwaz

HRANA News Agency – The body of a Bahai has been held in the morgue for nearly two months in the large southern Iranian city of Ahvaz because local officials have refused to allow his burial.

According to the report of Bahai World News Service, Shamel Bina passed away on 28 October but remains unburied, despite numerous appeals from his family and others, who have appealed to numerous officials from the governor general to the city’s Friday prayer leader. Nader Fatorehchi Faces Serious Charges due to a Facebook Post

HRANA News Agency – Nader Fatorehchi, journalist, translator and author, was summoned to the court because of Bahareh Rahnama and Peyman Ghasemkhani’s complaint and has been released on bail.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on Wednesday 31st December, Nader Fatorehchi had a hearing in the Culture and Media branch of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran and after giving his last defense, he was released on bail until the trial.
