HRANA News Agency – Despite warnings of Amnesty International, Rashid Kouhi was executed on the charge of drug offenses without the right of appeal in Lakan prison of Rasht.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Rashid Kouhi, at the morning of April 9, 2016 was executed in Lakan prison of Rasht in connection with the discovery of 800 g jar in his bag. Last entreaty of his family to stop the execution and earn a chance to submit an application was refused by the authorities. At Least 977 Executions in Iran in 2015; Amnesty International

HRANA News Agency – Amnesty International reported that in 2015, the rate of executions in the world was the highest in the past 25 years and Iran, along with Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have been announced as the countries with the highest number of executions.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Amnesty International has announced in a report that in 2015 at least 1634 people were executed in 25 countries. Ehsan Shahqasemi Released from the Prison

HRANA News Agency – Ehsan Shahqasemi who had been sentenced to death on charge of murder of a Basij member was released by the end of the sentence of the general aspects of the crime and also obtaining the consent of the victim’s parents, the charge of murder and the death sentence of Shahqasemi had taken place in circumstances that the death of “Ali Khalili” was three years after the clash and the he had consented officially and received the payment as the blood money or the cost of treatment.

Another Juvenile Offender in Sanandaj Prison Sentenced to Death

HRANA News Agency – With issuing of another death sentence for a juvenile offender in Sanandaj Prison, the number of prisoners who are sentenced to death for an offence they have committed while being a juvenile, has rose to 5.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), a juvenile offender (K.N) imprisoned at Sanandaj Prison, who at the time of crime was 17 years and 9 months old,  was sentenced to death by retaliation in kind (Qisas) for murder. HRANA News Agency – In a statement of urgent action, Amnesty International warned about the imminent execution of Himan Uraminejad who was sentenced to death on charge of murder when he was a juvenile, and asked the Iranian authorities to stop this verdict.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Amnesty International called on the Iranian authorities to stop the death sentence of the juvenile offender, Himan Uraminejad whose verdict was confirmed by the Supreme Court. Highest Number of Executions in Recent 10 Years in Iran: UN

HRANA News Agency – Ahmed Shaheed, the United Nations (UN) Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran, in his eleventh report to the UN human rights council, announced: “in 2015 Islamic republic of Iran have had the highest number of executions within the past 10 years.”

HRANA News Agency – “I am ready to give my life to stop the execution”, this sentence was repeated during the interview many times. “I got 10 years older during past three years, his sister is suffering from depression, everything in life has changed, if my son had died in Halabcheh or died in an accident, it would not be this much painful. Execution is not just a person’s death, it is the death of a family, the death of honor and it makes people shameful”.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Hadi is one of 100s of prisoners who have been sentenced to death for crimes related to drugs. His sentence has been confirmed in January and was sent to the bureau of execution of sentences. 40 Prisoners’ Death Sentences Confirmed During a Week
