Protesting Prisoners of Rajai Shahr Prison Threatened by Prison Guards

HRANA News Agency – After three weeks of constant protest of the political prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj by refusing to receive food rations, on January 16, 2018, the prison guards went to the hall and claimed that they had intervened at the behest of the head of the Prisons Organization of Tehran Province to end the protest. The forces following inspection and creating fear and panic, threatened that the political prisoners would be exiled to dangerous and violent wards, if they would continue the protest.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), 22 days after the beginning of the protest of the political prisoners in the Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj by refusing to receive food rations, there is still no change in the conditions of this place despite the promises of the prosecutor’s representative to improve the situation. Majid Asadi, Payam Shakiba and Mohammad Amirkhizi Sentenced to 28 Years in Prison

HRANA News Agency _ Majid Asadi, Payam Shakiba, two former student activists and Mohammad Banazadeh Amirkhzai have been sentenced to 28 years imprisonment and four years in exile by Branch 26 of Tehran Revolutionary Court.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), three political prisoners have been detained since last year and gave their latest defences to Branch 6 of the Evin Prison on July 12, 2017. According to the verdict of Branch 26 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court, headed by Judge Ahmadzadeh, they have been sentenced to 28 years of imprisonment for acting against the national security through gathering, collusion and propaganda against the regime. Mokhtar Asadi’s Parole Was Rejected by the Court

HRANA News Agency – Mokhtar Asadi’s request for parole was refused. He is a member of the Kurdish Teachers’ Association, who is serving a one-year imprisonment in Evin prison on charges of propaganda against the regime.

One Prisoner Executed in Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – A prisoner was executed on charge of murder in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj. Two other prisoners who were sentenced to death were returned to their wards by receiving a deadline from the plaintiffs.

Added Pressure on the Prisoners in Ardabil Prison

HRANA News Agency – The Central Prison of Ardabil which is used by judicial institutions as a place to exile the political and non-political prisoners, has always been subject to doubled problems such as the authorities personalized manner, the lack of basic facilities such as hot water shower, telephone and sewage problems, and also violence with no legal justification. These miss managerial behaviours have increased in recent years, as prison staff members told a 56-year-old prisoner during the winter inspection that “if you want to go back, you should bray like a donkey.”

Kawan Mahmoudian Sentenced to 1 Year of Imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Kawan Mahmoudian who had been arrested by the intelligence agents in Kamyaran and transferred to Sanandaj prison after being detained in solitary confinement for two months, was sentenced to 1 year imprisonment on charge of “acting against national security through cooperating with a Kurdish opposition party” by the Revolutionary Court.

Hundreds of Detainees of Recent Protests Transferred to Hamedan Prison

HRANA News Agency – At least 39 detainees of recent protests in Asadabad and Tuyserkan in Hamedan province, were transferred to Hamedan prison. These detainees are held in the quarantine of the central prison of Hamadan and many of them have been charged with serious allegations, including corruption on earth and Muharebeh.

One Day after Being Arrested by the Police: Ali Poladi Died

HRANA News Agency – Ali Poladi from Chaloos, was arrested by security forces in this city and taken to the Detention Center of the Police intelligence office. The next morning his family was asked to attend the station to get Ali Poladi’s corpse. This caused conflicts between his relatives and one of Police intelligence officers. Law enforcement officials have not yet provided a clear explanation for his death.

Two Engineers of Hamedan Power Plant Were Arrested

HRANA News Agency – Two power engineers, named Jawad Ashrafi and Amin Ashrafi, were arrested by security forces at their workplace in Hamedan and were moved to an unknown location in the morning of January 11.
