Court Rejects Complaint of Several Bahai Students

HRANA News Agency – Following the announcement of results from Iran’s national secondary school graduation exam for this academic year, many Bahai youth who achieved good marks, sufficient for entry even to the best of the state-controlled universities, found they were rejected from university due to “defects in the file.”

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), some of these students filed a legal complaint, which after overcoming various obstacles was actually received and considered by a branch of the Administrative Court. Manuchher Khalousi Sentenced: Six Years for Being a Bahai

HRANA News Agency – The Revolutionary Court in the city of Mashhad has sentenced Manuchher Khalousi to six years in prison for his Bahai beliefs.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the charges against him were “propaganda against the regime” or “acting against national security,” although the evidence cited does not support either charge: it focuses simply on proving that he is a Bahai. No Information about Arjang Davoodi and Afshin Baimani

HRANA News Agency – There is no news about Afshin Baimani and Arjang Davoodi, who have been transferred to Revolutionary Guards’ solitary confinement since 18th January.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), during the 18th January, Sunday, Afshin Baimani and Arjang Davoodi, 2 political prisoners from hall 12 of Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj, were transferred to solitary confinement in the Revolutionary Guards’ ward in this prison. Court Orders to Remove Suspension on Masoud Shams Nejad’s License

HRANA News Agency – The ordered to remove the suspension of the Attorney license of Masood Shams Nejad, Class One Solicitor.

Labour Activist Arrested in Sanandaj

HRANA News Agency – Mehrdad Amin Vaziri, labour activist, was summoned to Revolutionary Court in Sanandaj. Also, Zaniar Baghian, another labour activist in this city has been arrested.

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Reza Poorshajari has been transferred to solitary confinement after starting hunger strike to protest against his suspended condition, new allege and re-arrest.

Football Fans in Tabriz Receive Imprisonment Sentences

HRANA News Agency – Public prosecutor of Tabriz, has accused a number of civilians with disturbing public order in connection with “Tractor Sazi” football team’s matches, and has had sentenced them to imprisonment.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), each of Jafar Rostami Rad, Kasra Davoodi, Mosa Sodi Moghanloo, Ali Ahmadi Helan, Siamak Saifi, Hossein  Adljoo, Hossein Khaki, Saeed Dadashpoor,Yassin Fathi, Babak Azarnejad, Hossein Firoozi, Mokhtar Tanhaei, Hossein Bayat, Farhad Chavoshi, Alireza Bayat, Saeed Shabani, Yavar Mahmoudpour, Siamak Irani and Sahram Ebrahimi has been sentenced to 3 months and one day imprisonment and 30 lashes, by the branch 104 of the General Court (criminal) in Tabriz city on 4th of February on charges of disturbing public order.
