2 Civil Activists Arrested In Ardebil

HRANA News Agency – Meysam Jolani and Morteza Parvin, two civil activists, after attending Branch 5 of the Public and Revolutionary Court in Ardebil, were arrested and sent to the prison of Ardabil.

According to Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), two Azerbaijani activists named Meysam Jolani and Morteza Parvin, who received the summons from the fifth Branch of the Public and Revolutionary Court in Ardebil, were present there, and after interrogation they were accused of disturbing public order and the prosecutor of this office issued an arrest warrant and arrested these two and sent them to prison. Shahrokh Zamani Died In Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Shahrokh Zamani, imprisoned labor activist, died in Rajai Shahr prison after a stroke.

Yashar Darulshafa Granted A 3-Day-Furlough

HRANA News Agency – Yashar Darulshafa, political prisoner in Evin prison, for the first time after about 3 years, was sent on leave for three days.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the imprisoned student, Yashar Darulshafa was sent on leave for 3 days in the morning of Saturday 12th September, from ward 350 of Evin prison.
Yashar Darulshafa, during two detentions, one in November and the second time in December in 2009, by the Ministry of Intelligence, had been kept for a total of 54 days under detention in wards 240 and 350 in Evin prison.
The leftist student activist and former secretary of the Islamic reformist Students Association in International University of Qazvin and Social Well-being Planning graduate, graduated from Tehran University in August 2010, had been tried by Branch 15 of Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided by Judge Salvati, on charges of gathering and collusion, propaganda against the regime and insulting the leadership and was sentenced to 7 years imprisonment in total, but on the appeal court the sentence was reduced to 5 years and 6 months.
Yashar Darulshafa was sent to ward 350 of Evin prison on 6th November 2012 to serve his sentence.
