Sunni Prayer Room Closed in Tehran

HRANA News Agency – The Iranian authorities have closed down a Sunni prayer room  in the Pounak neighborhood of Tehran.

A Report about Chari Mohammad Moradov’s Situation at Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Chari Mohammad Moradov, the Turkmenistan citizen, who has sentenced to 21 years in prison in an unclear condition, on charge of propaganda against the regime by participating in protests after the presidential elections and espionage, is spending his sixth year in Evin prison, while he has been deprived of having a lawyer or any contact with his family.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Chari Mohammad Moradov, born in 1976, is a Turkmenistan citizen. He was sent to Iran by ministry of science in 1997, after being accepted as a scholarship candidate. He received his bachelor degree in political science from Tehran University, and was successfully accepted for scholarship for master degree in Diplomacy and International Organizations major, from School of International Relations of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A Campaign Has Begun in Support of Imprisoned Teachers in Iran

HRANA News Agency – Teachers Association of Iran, Tehran (ITTA), has announced the launch of a campaign calling to put an end to the imprisonment of 2 teachers; Rasool Bodaghi and Mahmoud Bagheri.

Batyrshah Mohammadov’s Health Condition Deteriorated

HRANA News Agency – Batyrshah Mohammadov, a political prisoner at Karaj Rajaee Shahr Prison has been transferred to the prison clinic because of the high blood pressure and bleeding in sleep on emergency basis.

A Prisoner at Zahedan Prison Died because of Lack of Medical Treatment

HRANA News Agency – One of the prisoners of central prison of Zahedan, who was imprisoned for minor crimes, died – according to other prisoners – due to disease and medical negligence. Wardens did not take the corps out of ward from 7am to 10am.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), a prisoner who was imprisoned for minor crimes, was found dead on Wednesday, January 14, at 7am, in ward number 5 of central prison of Zahedan and authorities refused to take the corps out of the ward till 10 am. A Political Prisoner Released from Meshkin Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Saeid Hoseini, political prisoner in Meshkin Shahr prison, was released on parole law.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Saeid Hoseini, political activist, who was arrested on 11th December 2014, at 10 am at his work place by the security forces and was charged with propaganda against the regime and sentenced to 6 months in prison was released after spending 2/3 of his sentence from Meshkin Shahr prison. Judicial Authorities Reject Parole Requests of 70 Political Prisoners

HRANA News Agency – Judicial authorities rejected the request of seventy political and security prisoners, imprisoned in Evin prison to be released earlier.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), a large number of prisoners in Evin prison, including 13 prisoners of ward 350, were imparted that their conditional release requests have been rejected. The 5th Session of Trial of 6 Bahais in Tabriz

HRANA News Agency – The fifth court hearing of charges against six Bahais took place in Tabriz on January 14. The accused are four members of the Bahadori family, Shabnam Issakhani and Rashin Saberi.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), during the hearing Simin Rasouli, the mother of the Bahadori family, was questioned, and the court was adjourned until January 21. In the previous hearings, Farzad Bahadori, the father of the family, Mrs. Rasouli, the children Sahar and Nassim Bahadori, Mrs. Shabnam Issakhani and Mrs. Rashin Saberi, were questioned for four hours.
