Ibrahim Firoozi on Hunger Strike in Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Ibrahim Firoozi, imprisoned Christian in Rajaei Shahr, have started hunger strike in protest to deliberate violation of separation of prisoners act, since last Saturday.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ibrahim Firoozi who has been kept in ward number 10 of the prison, in a violation of separation of prisoners act, with non-political and even dangerous prisoner, started his hunger strike on Saturday, June 6 and requested to be transferred to ward number 12 which is reserved for political and consciences prisoners. Hamid Azizi Begins a One-Year Sentence in Hamadan

HRANA News Agency – Hamid Azizi, a Bahai from Hamadan, has been taken to prison to begin a one-year sentence. A few days ago he and his wife were summoned and threatened with arrest.

Sarang Etehadi Free after 1 Year in Prison

HRANA News Agency – Sarang Etehadi was released from prison in Tehran today, at the end of a one-year sentence on charges of “propaganda against the state through participation in Bahai worship and prayer groups.”

Eleven Bahai Businesses Closed in Sari

HRANA News Agency – Local authorities in Sari have shut down eleven businesses run by Bahais because they had been closed on Bahai holy days.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), these include four clothing stores, run by Wahab Darabi, Taraneh Zahedi, Sa`id Goli and Aramesh Zahuri; two electric motor winding shops, run by Farshad Kemali and Mehran Kemali; two toiletries and cleaning materials shops run by Ehsanullah Sana’i and Ehsan Izadi, a paint shop run by Ziullah Khushbin, the wood turning workshop of Kemal Akbari, and a household container shop run by Pedaram Qanbari. Three Bahai Businesses Shut Down in Sari

HRANA News Agency – Local authorities in Sari shut down three businesses run by three Bahais, on May 24, because they had been closed on Bahai holy days.

Riaz Sobhani Released at the End of His Sentence

HRANA News Agency – Riaz’ullah Sobhani, a Bahai who taught classes for the Bahai Institute for Higher Education (BIHE), was released from Raja’i Shahr Prison in Karaj yesterday at the end of a four-year sentence.

2 Imprisoned Christians Transferred to Hall Number 2 of Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Farshid Fathi and Alireza Seyedian, two Christian prisoners were transferred to Hall 2 in Rajai Shahr prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Pastor Farshid Fathi and Ali Seyedian, Christian converts in Rajai Shahr Prison, in Karaj, were transferred to Hall 2 in ward 1 of this prison. 3 Sunni Activists Arrested in Mahabad

HRANA News Agency – After the protests in Mahabad and the subsequent arrests, three Sunni activists were also arrested.

Iran’s Apartheid Rules for Bahais Clarified

HRANA News Agency – Saham News has published an order from the chief of police, dating from April 8, 2010, which clarifies which economic sectors are forbidden for Bahais. Because Bahais in Iran are excluded from employment in the civil service, education and health, and other major sectors, many of them start small shops or workshops in sectors where this is permitted, but the rules they must obey have been kept secret.

This order from the chief of police to police bureaus all over the country instructs them to constrain, limit and police the activities of Bahais in the specified fields, and ensure the Bahais do not constitute a significant presence in society. Shaykh Fathi Mohammad Naghshbandi Released from Prison

HRANA News Agency – A Sunni scholar imprisoned in Iran since 2012 has today been released on bail.
