2 Civil Rights Activists Tried in Tehran

HRANA News Agency – The court hearing for “Puria Ebrahimi” and “Shokofeh Azar Masouleh”, two civil and social activists was held in Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court, by Judge Ahmadzadeh, on Wednesday 2nd March. In this trial which lasted two hours, along with these two civil and social activists, Judge Salvati, lawyers, prosecutors and representatives of the Ministry of Intelligence were present.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Shokofeh Azar Masouleh had been sent from Evin prison to the court and, according to one of the attendees, by accepting a pay slip, she may be released next week on the bail. Pouria Ebrahimi Tried in the Revolutionary Court in Tehran

HRANA News Agency – The court of Pouria Ebrahimi, civil rights activist was held by Judge Ahmadzadeh in the 26th branch of the revolutionary court. The rest of the hearing was postponed to Wednesday, March 2 after the introduction of a lawyer to study the case.

Misagh Yazdannejad’s Trial Session Was Held in Tehran

HRANA News Agency – The court session of Misagh Yazdannejad was held on Tuesday February 16th, in Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court. The imprisoned student’s sentence of 13 years imprisonment was rejected by the Supreme Court in its 9th year and his case is scheduled to be treated again.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Misagh Yazdannejad had been arrested on September 10, 2007 and was sentenced to 13 years in prison by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Salvati. Amir Amirgholi Sentenced To 21 Years In Prison

HRANA News Agency – Amir Amirgholi, former student activist and political prisoner in ward 8 of Evin prison, has been sentenced to 21 years imprisonment by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Salvati. In accordance with Article 134 of the Penal Code and the aggregation of the crime, the maximum applicable punishment of this sentence is up to seven years.

A Report On The Situation Of Farhad Pirooti In Mahabad Prison

HRANA News Agency – Farhad Pirooti, political prisoner and resident of Sardasht, is serving the 4th month of his 5-year-sentence. He has been charged with acts against the national security and cooperation with conflicting parties.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Farhad Prirooti, electronic engineering student of Payam Noor University of Sardasht, was arrested on January 15, 2012, by the intelligent service of Sardasht, in a printing shop where he used to work. “Union of Concerned Scientists” Called For Immediate Freedom Of Omid Kokabee

HRANA News Agency – “Union of Concerned Scientists” in a letter to President Hassan Rohani called for immediate and unconditional release of Omid Kokabee. Omid Kokabee, doctoral student at Texas University, was arrested in February 2011, and later in May 2012 he was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), in the mentioned letter which has been published on January 30th the UCS while explaining Omid Kokabee’s scientific practices, has requested the Iranian authorities, as the relations between Iran and the rest of the world are beginning to improve, to prepare the unconditional release of Omid Kokabee so that he can continue his peaceful scientific practices. Authorities Prevented Hamid Babai From Being Transferred To Hospital

HRANA News Agency – The officials in Rajaei Shahr prison prevented Hamid Babai from being transferred to the hospital, despite the court permission and the booked appointment in the hospital. The wife of this prisoner said, the request of furlough was also rejected with the order of the security officials.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Hamid Babai was supposed to be transferred to Imam Khomaini hospital, but despite having court permission and booking the appointment with the physician, prison authorities stopped it. Hamid Babai Transferred To The Hospital

HRANA News Agency – Hamid Babai, political prisoner of Rajaei Shahr prison of Karaj, was transferred to the hospital after two years of continues efforts regarding his hearing problems.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), after being transferred on December 30, to Imam Khomaini hospital in Karaj, his problem is recognized as ruptured eardrum, and after giving prescription he was asked to be returned with the results of the examination after a week.
