HRANA News Agency – Amir Amirgholi, former student activist and political prisoner in ward 8 of Evin prison, has been sentenced to 21 years imprisonment by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Salvati. In accordance with Article 134 of the Penal Code and the aggregation of the crime, the maximum applicable punishment of this sentence is up to seven years.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), “insulting religious sanctities”, “insulting the Supreme Leader”, “gathering and colluding to act against the national security”, “disturbing public order by participating in illegal gatherings”, and “propaganda against the regime” are some parts of the charges against Amir Amirghpli.
