HRANA News Agency – Majid Abedinzadeh Moghaddam, civil activist and a witness of the Kahrizak Detention Center, returned to Evin prison on October 3, 2017 to serve the remainder of his 3-year conviction. Mr. Abedinzadeh Moghaddam had been sent to the medical furlough.

A Prisoner Chained to the Rods in Central Prison of Ardebil

HRANA News Agency – Ardebil Prison is one of the prisons in the country which punishes the prisoners in inhumane ways. For several times during the past year, the authorities of the prison have chained prisoners to the rods for a day.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Meysam Saber, prisoner of the central prison of Ardabil, was chained to the rods in the quarantine section of the prison on September 23, 2017, following the protests against the behavior of the prison guard. A Report about Hassan Rastgari’s Situation in Uremia Prison

HRANA News Agency – Hassan Rastegari Majd, Iranian-Turkish citizen and political prisoner in Urmia Central Prison, who has been sentenced to 24 years in three separate cases, has an unfavorable medical condition. The prisoner who had gone on hunger strike in protest against his legal situation, accused the judicial authorities and in particular prosecutor’s office with not doing what he promised to do.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Hassan Rastegari Majd has been detained since 2013 and sentenced to about 24 years in prison and lashes for three cases. In recent weeks, the prisoner has called to investigate his legal situation and his medical problems by a lot of legal correspondence and contact with the Turkish Consulate. Yousef Emadi Sentenced to Imprisonment and Exile in a New Case

HRANA News Agency – Yousef Emadi who was imprisoned for collaborating in the production and distribution of “unauthorized” music, was sentenced to another year in jail and exile to Bushehr by Judge Moghiseh for his new case on the charge of “propaganda against the system” which had been opened against him in the prison period.
According to the verdict of the primitive sentence which has been notified to the lawyer of Yousef Emadi, the activist of the music arena was sentenced to one year in prison and two years in exile in Bushehr on charge of “propaganda against the regime” by branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court headed by Judge Moghiseh. A Comprehensive Report about the Situation in Central Prison of Sanandaj

HRANA News Agency – Applying the double restrictions by prison officials in Sanandaj prison along with a surplus population has made it very difficult for prisoners to serve their prison sentence. There widely are problems such as deliberate gas interruption, kidney and digestive diseases due to inappropriate drinking water, lack of appropriate medical facilities, non-separation of offenses, insulting and punishment and beating the prisoners, the poor quality and the lack of food in the prison, excessive congestion on the capacity and applying restrictions by prison officials based on what they would like.

3 Political Activists under Pro-longed Detention in Arak

HRANA News Agency – Bijan Kalngari, former political prisoner in the 1980s, along with two of his nephews who were kept at the intelligence office in Arak since July 26, 2017, were transferred to the Central Prison in Arak after almost two weeks of interrogations. These people, who are in a state of legal uncertainty, are still deprived of having a lawyer by the court’s refusal.

Soheil Arabi Beaten by IRGC Forces in Ward 2-A

HRANA News Agency – Soheil Arabi, prisoner of conscience who is serving the fourth year of his sentence in Evin prison, was transferred to ward 2-A in Evin prison at the same time as his wife was arrested. During his presence in the IRGC ward, this prisoner has been beaten continuously and has been suffering from chronic headaches, particularly as a result of blows by the interrogation team, which has caused him more vision problems in the past few days.

New Details about Arash Sadeghi’s Medical Condition

HRANA News Agency – Arash Sadeghi’s long hunger strike followed by medical deprivation has created irreparable complications. Mr. Sadeghi is still unable to digest food and has to take medicine for his condition. This is while Sarallah base of the IRGC continues to sabotage any progress in his medical treatment and impose heavy limitations on it. He is not given a medial furlough and hospitalization is being denied. Adding to all these issues, some reports are surfacing that his medical records and documents might be missing.
