HRANA News Agency – The appeal of Mohammad Reza Aghakhani, an activist imprisoned in Evin Prison, who was previously sentenced to three years imprisonment on charges of membership in the national and religious group and acting against national security in Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court, and his sentence was confirmed by Branch 54 of the Renewal Court of Tehran, rejected by Branch 38 of the Supreme Court recently. Mohammad Reza Aghakhani sent to Evin prison after he was summoned in November last year.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mohammad Reza Aghakhani has been sentenced to three years imprisonment by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court and remains in prison since November last year. The appeal court upheld the verdict, and the last appeal of this political activist was rejected by Branch 38 of the Supreme Court. 3 Civil Activists Transferred to Arak Central Prison
HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Najafi and Ali Bagheri, two of the detainees of the recent protests were transferred to the Central Prison of Arak, after completing the interrogation process. Behzad Ali Bakhshi, another civil activist from Arak, was also transferred to Ward 8, the Health Ward.

Civil Activists Arrested Across the Country
HRANA News Agency – Security forces arrested a number of civil activists throughout the country during a coordinated operation on February 1. Some detainees including Saeed Eghbali and Saeed Seifi are denied of having visitors in Evin Prison.

Ramin and Afshin Hossein Panahi Ended Their Hunger Strike
Hana News Agency – Hossein Ahmadi Niaz, the lawyer of Ramin Hossein Panahi, confirmed the end of a hunger strike of him and his brother, Afshin Hossein Panahi. Ramin and Afshin Hossein Panahi began their hunger strike on Saturday January 27, after Ramin Hossein Panahi’s death sentence was issued and ended the protest after the appeal was registered.

Soheil Arabi Beaten and Transferred to Fashafoie Prison
HRANA News Agency – Soheil Arabi, prisoner of conscience, have been transferred to Fashafoie Prison from Evin Prison. He was also beaten on January 31, 2018. Beating Mr. Arabi has caused bruise on his body.

Ramin Hossein Panahi Sentenced to Death
HRANA News Agency – Lawyer of Ramin Hossein Panahi, political prisoner at Sanandaj Central Prison, who was tried in Branch One of the Revolutionary Court in Sanandaj on charge of acting against national security, on January 16, 2018, announced that he had received the news of the execution sentence for his client. HRANA in addition to discussing this issue with Ramin Hossein Panahi’s lawyer was able to have a brief conversation with Ramin Hossein Panahi about his death sentence.

Mohammad Nazari Transferred to Hospital
HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Nazari, a political prisoner in Orumieh prison, suffers from gallbladder disease. He had been sent to hospital with prosecutor’s permission in recent days, but he has been transferred to prison for recurrence of illness and the diagnosis of doctors said that he should undergo a surgery.

Hunger Strike of a Prisoner in Tabriz Central Prison
HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Reza Sobhkhiz, prisoner in Tabriz central prison, has been on hunger strike for over twenty days. He is held in ward 12 of Tabriz central prison since 8 years ago because general criminal offenses. Mohammad Reza Sobhkhiz is deprived of his freedom despite the end of his impressment due to repayments and the private plaintiff. The correspondence of this prisoner to the judicial authorities regarding the inability to pay the charges, have not yet come to an end and the prisoner has been on hunger strike for the 20 days in protest against this situation.

Contradictory Statements by the Authorities about Ali Poladi’s Death
HRANA News Agency – Ali Poladi died after being arrested at the detention center of police office in Chaloos. His family confirmed the news and told HRANA’s reporter: “On the first day of the incident the prisoner was healthy when was detained, however, in the following days, different authorities had made the contradictory statements including the prisoner’s background of the accident in the past, epilepsy and heart failure as the reason of his death.” Informed sources reported that Mr. Poladi’s family is under pressure to not to have contact with the media and human rights organizations and Ali Poladi’s brother was summoned to intelligence ministry.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Chaloos police officers arrested Ali Poladi, 26-year-old resident of Goiter Village located in Marzan Abad in Chaloos, on January 12, 2018. Only one day later, his family was informed that he had died at the detention center and that it was necessary for the family to begin legal proceedings for delivery of the body. The Latest List of Political Prisoners in Hall 10 of Rajai Shahr Prison
HRANA News Agency – At least 30 political prisoners in Ward 10 in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, still continue to protest by refusing to accept the prison’s food. In protest against the unlawful deprivations and restrictions imposed on them, they demand the delivery of their lost and stolen personal stuff and equipment from the prison authorities. The Equipment of 35 rooms in prison is worth 3,85 billion IRR.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), 21 days after the beginning of the protest of political prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, by refusing to accept the prison’s food, and in spite of the prosecutor’s office’s promise to improve the situation, there has been no changes in the conditions of this place.
