Masoud Bastani Released from Prison after Serving 6 Years

HRANA News Agency – Masoud Moradi Bastani, imprisoned journalist, was released after six years of imprisonment but a bail was demanded for his freedom for disability to pay fines.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), although the duration of Masoud Bastani’s sentence, counting the days of absence, ended on Sunday, 19th July but because of the financial penalty in his case, he was released on a bail. Prison Guards’ Inspections in Wards 7 & 8 of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – The Special Guard of Evin prison has done a series of unusual inspecting, during recent days, in ward 7 and ward 8, each of which lasted for several hours.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), during the first inspection which began in the early hours of the morning on Thursday 16th July, prison guards woke up the prisoners and sent them into the hall and corridors of the wards and started inspecting prisoners’ stuff. A Report about Dr. Saeed Madani’s Situation in Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Doctor Saeed Madani, sociologist and senior researcher in the social sciences, is spending the fourth year of his sentence in Rajai Shahr prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Doctor Saeed Madani has been sentenced to 9 and a half years imprisonment for two cases and by including his previous detention time, he has spent about 5 years of his sentence. The New Penal Code and the Possibility of Appeal for Drug Related Charges

HRANA News Agency – With proper implementation of the new criminal code, all convicted of drug related charges would find the chance of appeal on their sentences.
According to Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA)’s legal advisers’ review on the new penal code, the article 32 has have differentiated between the prisoners for asking for appeal. Not only newly convicted drug prisoners can ask for appeal, but under the condition of cancellation of previous law, other prisoners with drug charges can ask for appeal, too. Asadollah Hadi Transferred to Shohada-e-Tajrish hospital

HRANA News Agency – Asadollah Hadi, political prisoner of Rajaei Shahr prison has been transferred to Shohada-e-Tajrish hospital.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Asadollah Hadi, who had gone under surgery operation for his spinal issues, has been transferred to Shohada-e-Tajrish hospital for continuation of his medical treatments. HRANA News Agency – The following video shows a group of civil activists at Saeed Zeinali’s father’s home, who has been lost on 9th July 1999. They were this family’s guest, on the occasion of the sixteenth year of Saeed Zeinali’s disappearance.

Former Political Prisoners Visited Mehdi Khodaei

HRANA News Agency – In recent days a number of civil activists and former political prisoners from various parties has visited Mehdi Khodaei, a human rights activist who recently was released from prison after spending five and a half years imprisonment.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), civil activists and former political prisoners, including Emad Bahavar, Mohsen Mirdamadi, Zahra Mojaradi, Abdollah Momeni, Ahmad Reza Yousefi, Abolfazl Ghadiani, Majid Dorri, Fariborz Rais Dana, Bahman Ahmadi Amoui, Jila Bani Yaqoob, Masoud Pedram, Mohammad Davari, Artin Ghazanfari, Milad Fadaei, a group of former student activists of Azad University and numerous other civil activists during a meeting with Mr. Khodaei, congratulated his freedom and praise his resistance  during the five and a half years in prison. HRANA News Agency – After more than two years of the detention of Akbar Amini Armaki political prisoner in ward 350 of Evin prison, the court’s final decision is undetermined yet.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), after Akbar Amini was sentenced for the second time, while he was in the prison, to 5 years imprisonment, in February 2014, his lawyers appealed and called for the integration of the crime but the result of this request has not been determined yet. A Report about Abdolfattah Soltani’s Situation in Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Abdolfattah Soltani, an imprisoned lawyer and founding member of the Association of Defenders of Human Rights, despite numerous legal conditions for his release from prison, due to authorities’ sabotage has been denied from his legal and human rights.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Abdolfattah Soltani, despite the agreement of five judges to apply Article 18 and to restore the legal process, has been waiting for it for more than two years and a half and has been held in pending and undecided condition until the Head of the Judiciary will order a hearing. Hamid Reza Yazdani Sent to a Five-Day-Leave

HRANA News Agency – Hamid Reza Yazdani, political prisoner in ward 8 of Evin prison, was sent on a five-day-leave.
