Kamran Rahimiyan Freed after 4 Years in Prison

HRANA News Agency – Kamran Rahimiyan, one of the teachers of the Bahai Open University in Iran, has been released from Raja’i Shahr prison, near Tehran, at the end of a 4-year sentence.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), his wife Faran Hesami is still serving a 4-year sentence, in Evin Prison in Tehran, also for educational activities. (more…)

Report on the Situation of 3 Imprisoned BIHE Staff

HRANA News Agency – Kamran Rahimiyan and his wife Faran Hesami, and Keyvan Rahimiyan are serving prison terms for their work for the Bahai Open University (BIHE): Kamran and Faran have 4-year sentences and Keyvan has a 5-year sentence.

The Latest List of the Political Prisoners in Women’s Section of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – The following list includes the political prisoners of women’s section of Evin Prison in Tehran. These prisoners have been sentenced in total to more than 190 years of imprisonment.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), there are 22 women in this section, 15 of whom are political and civil activists, 6 are from religious minorities and 1 of them is imprisoned on charge of espionage. (more…)

Arash Moghadam Aslanpoor Granted a 7-Day Leave

Fuad Khanjani and Kamran Rahimiyan barred from meeting their relatives

HRANA News Agency – Prison officials have prevented Kamran Rahimiyan and Fuad Khanjani, two Bahai prisoners in Raja’i Shahr prison, from meeting members of their families who are imprisoned in Tehran’s Evin Prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), yesterday (May 17) it was announced that the two prisoners would be taken to Evin prison, but the visit was later denied on the basis that they refused to wear the standard prison uniform. (more…)
