Soheil Babadi Released from Prison and Sent to Exile

HRANA News Agency – Soheil Babadi, prisoner of conscience in Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj, was transferred to Bandar Abbas to serve his sentence of two years of exile, after enduring five years of imprisonment.
According to the report of the Human Rights News Agencey in Iran (HRANA), Soheil Babadi, prisoner of Hall 12 in ward 10 of Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, upon the request to apply Article 134 on his case and the reduction of the sentence to five years imprisonment, on the completion of his imprisonment time, was sent to the city of Bandar Abbas to serve a sentence of two years in exile, on January 25, 2017. Vahid Sayad Nasiri in Ward 4 of Evin Prison Awaiting Court of Appeal

HRANA News Agency – Vahid Sayad Nasiri, political prisoner in ward 4 of Evin prison, has been imprisoned contrary to the rule of separation of prisoners based on their crimes, and despite the passage of more than a month of holding the Court of Appeal hearing, he has not received the verdict yet.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Vahid Sayad Nasiri has had a hearing in Branch 54 of Court of Appeal presided by Judge Babaei, on December 14, 2016, but this political prisoner has not received his verdict yet. Masoumeh Zia under Detention by the Order of Court of Media and Culture

HRANA News Agency – Tehran court of culture and media, issued a one-month detention order for Masoumeh (Pegah) Zia and the interrogator has informed her family that that should immediately hire a lawyer for her. Ms. Zia was arrested in Tehran Imam Khomeini airport while returning from a trip abroad.

Marjan Davari Sentenced to Death and Transferred to Garchak Prison

HRANA News Agency – A 50-year-old researcher and translator has been sentenced to death in late January. She was transferred from women’s ward in Evin to Rey prison (Gharchak of Varamin) at the same time. One of the charges against Ms. Davari is membership in Eckankar. This verdict has recently submitted to her.

Sina Qalandari Acquitted in the Court of Appeal

HRANA News Agency – Sina Qalandari, 30-year-old journalist from Kuhdasht who had been sentenced to two years imprisonment, due to releasing information regarding  the elections in the region, which was “in his absence  in the courtroom” and without having the opportunity to defend himself was acquitted in the appeal court. While this citizen is in an undecided condition in another case with the theme of “setting the regional forest on fire” based on a complaint by Natural Resources Department, head of this department has raised a new complaint to the governor, regarding this journalist’s letter to the Province Governor.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), in October last year, Sina Qalandari, journalist from Kuhdasht, was sentenced by Branch 3 of the Criminal Court in Lorestan province, to three years imprisonment of sixth grade. HRANA News Agency – Mehdi Khaz`ali was arrested in his office and transferred to ward 350 in Evin prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mehdi Khaz`ali was arrested in front of Hayan publisher office, by the order from Shahid Moghadasi court (Evin) and then transferred to ward 350 (general ward) on Sunday February 13. A Baha’i Student Expelled from the University

HRANA News Agency – Sogol Kazemi Bahnamiri, a Baha’i student who was studying in the fifth semester of engineering Urban Development at the non-profit University of Mashhad, was excluded from the final exams. This Baha’i student pursues from the Assessment Organization and the Ministry of Science officials were left unanswered.

Sabri Hassanpour Transferred to Hospital, Returned to Prison with No Treatment

HRANA News Agency – Sabri Hassanpour, political prisoner in Evin prison, despite being transferred to the hospital for heart surgery, was denied of surgery because, “the hospital cost was not paid by the prison”, and he was returned to the prison. The prisoner’s heart condition is serious.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Sabri Hassanpour, a spokesman for a political organization and former host of TV satellite channel, Rahaei, had been transferred to Tehran Taleghani hospital for a heart surgery, because the prison had not paid the hospital coasts he was returned to prison. 2 Christians Held in Limbo in Evin Prison for 6 Months

HRANA News Agency – Hadi Asghari and Amin Afshar Naderi, two Christian converts, have been held in an undecided condition in ward 4 of Evin prison, from about six months ago, and have not even been summoned for investigations. On the other hand, Mr. Asgari who has got kidney infection as a consequence of cold weather because he was denied to get his clothing, has not received any medical treatments.

A source close to the families of these two Christian converts has told HRANA: “Hadi Asghari and Amin Afshar Naderi, have been held in an undecided condition for more than six months, and even have not been interrogated. They have said if their situation would not be made clear they would go on hunger strike. Hadi Asghari has got infection on his both kidneys because of the cold weather.
