HRANA News Agency – At least 20 prisoners were executed last week in Rajaei Shahr prison. Among them Shahram Ahmadi was the most known in the media. Due to lack of information about these executions by official authorities, HRANA is releasing the images of some documents, including supreme court’s sentence and defendant’s defense against the charges, in order to help clarify this case for public.

4 Executed Sunni Prisoners Explain Their Cases / Video Footage

HRANA News Agency – At least 20 Sunni prisoners were executed by hanging in Rajaei Shahr prison, all of whom were charged with membership or cooperation with Tohid and Jihad group. These prisoners were arrested about 8 years ago. Jahangir Dehghani, Jamshid Dehghani, Kamal Moulayi and Hamed Ahmadi were four prisoners that had a chance to publish what their case was made of and what they were accused of. HRANA had published this video in 2013, but due to importance of clarification about the process of these cases, we publish this video again.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on August 4, the Intelligence Ministry published a statement about the case that is famous as Tohid and Jihad and by giving some explanations accused them to have ties with terrorist activities. A Report about Detained Activists in Gachsaran

HRANA News Agency – In a very notable case, some of residents of Dil village, a rural area of Gachsaran, which had been started their civil rights inquires by using peaceful civil rights movements methods, following the 2009 presidential election including distributing night letters and by drawing graffiti, were identified by the security forces and arrested and tried. Among 8 people who were arrested 6 of them were tried and sentenced to prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the wave of political and civil dissatisfaction about the society, community and environment after the 2009 presidential election has even shown itself in Dil village, a rural area of Gachsaran in Kohgilouyeh and Bouyer-Ahmad province. Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam Transferred to Hospital

HRANA News Agency – Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Nekounam was transferred for medical treatment to a hospital outside the Saheli prison in Qom. It has been said that the jailed dissident cleric in addition to sugar and high blood pressure, during the last several days had had problems in his heart, kidney and thyroid.

The Appeal Court of 4 Civil Rights Activists Held in Tehran

HRANA News Agency – The appeal hearing for four civil activists; “Atena Daemi, Omid Alishenas, Asuo Rostami, Ali Nouri” and “Mohammad Hossein Daemi” (Atena’s father), was held at Branch 36 of the Appeals Court of Tehran Province.

The Wave of Arresting Turkish Protesters Continues

HRANA News Agency – Following the protests in various cities of Azerbaijan and Ardebil provinces in reaction to the article published in the newspaper of “Tarhe No” and the continuation of the protests in recent days, a wave of arrests of protesters in various cities including Tabriz and Ardebil continued by arresting at least three other civilians. At the same time one person was summoned to the police station in Urmia, and in Tabriz, intelligence agents were unsuccessful in their attempt to arrest two others.  Along with the continuous wave of arrests five of the detainees were released on July 29.

A Poet Sentenced to Fine in Esfahan

HRANA News Agency – The Court of Appeal of Esfahan changed the 1 year and a half imprisonment sentence of Mohammad Mahdavifar, poet from Aran Bidgol and the poet of “Alphabet” to a fine.

2 Political Prisoners Put on Trial in Orumieh

HRANA News Agency – On July 28, Matin Khezri and Hussain Ahmadpour, two political prisoners in Central prison of Orumieh were transferred to Minavand prison after their first trial in Minavand.

Batir Shah Mammadov’s Plea on the 20th Day of Hunger Strike / Video Footage

HRANA News Agency – Batir Shah Mammadov, Turkmen citizen who has been sentenced to 20 years in prison on spying charges is on hunger strike demanding to be extradited to his country on the basis of the current agreements between Iran and Turkmenistan after 7 years imprisonment. He explained his condition and case in Persian which is difficult for a foreign citizen and also in Turkmen language on the twentieth day of his hunger strike in a video which was recorded last week and delivered to HRANA.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Batir Shah Mammadov, a citizen of Turkmenistan was arrested on espionage charges in Zahedan after sealing some rare metal in July 2009 and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
