4 Political Prisoners Released from Evin and Rajai Shahr Prisons

HRANA News Agency – Mahmood Beheshti Langaroodi, teacher and union activist who was on the 22nd day of hunger strike, was released and sent to his house. Kayvan Mehregan, poet and journalist, who was in furlough was released on parole. Rasould Badaghi, union activist has been released on the bail and Mehdi Motamedi Mehr, other political prisoner is sent to a 5-day furlough.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mahmood Beheshti Langaroodi, imprisoned teacher and member of Teachers Association of Iran, who had been hospitalized due to bad condition after his hunger strike, was released on the bail, until his retrial session. Behnam Ibrahimzadeh Transferred to Ward 2 of Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Behnam (Asad) Ibrahimzadeh was transferred to ward number 2 (Dar Al Quran) as a punishment, following tensions in ward number 10.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), following the disagreement of a prisoner with Behnam Ibrahimzadeh, imprisoned labour activist, he was transferred from ward number 10 to ward number 2 of Rajaei Shahr prison, as a punishment. A Number of People in Ahwaz Protested against Pumping Away the Water of Karoon

A Poet Arrested in Sanandaj

HRANA News Agency – Omid Soleimani, writer and journalist from Paweh, was arrested by intelligence agents in Sanandaj and there is no information regarding his condition and location.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Omid Soleimani, a member of the Iranian Writers’ Association and a journalist from Paweh was arrested without a warrant by the Ministry of Intelligence plainclothes forces in Sanandaj when he was visiting an exhibition at the Bahman Cinema and was transferred to an unknown location, on Thursday, 13th May. HRANA News Agency – Arash Hosein Panahi, from Dehgolan in Kurdistan province, was arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence agents and was taken to an unknown location.

HRANA News Agency – The physical condition of Afshin Sohrabzadeh, political prisoner in exile at Minab prison, who is suffering from colon cancer, has gotten worse and despite vomiting blood in the prison infirmary, prison authorities are preventing him from being transferred to a hospital outside the prison.

Offensive Behavior of Prison Guards of Rajai Shahr Prison with Political Prisoners’ Families

HRANA News Agency – The guards in Rajai-Shahr Prison harassed the families of political prisoners while visiting their prisoners. The protest of prisoners and their families had no result and the encounter which continuously gets worse, has negative influences on the conditions of prisoners and their families.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), families of political prisoners in Rajai-Shahr prison complained to the Prosecutor’s Office due to offensive behavior of the prison guards, but the prosecutor responded that he was not involved in this process and it was not also within the scope of his duties. 5 Christians Arrested in Rasht

HRANA News Agency – On May 13, 2016, at least five Christians were arrested, including Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani in Rasht. Three of them are still in custody.

Mohammad Najafi Faces a Third Case in the Court of Shazand
