Human Rights Situation in Iran – Annual Report 1393 (Persian Calendar)

The Department of Statistics and Publications of the Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRAI) of Iran has published its sixth annual report on the human rights situation in Iran. This report concerns the events and human rights incidents occurred in Iran over the course of one-year period (2014-2015). These reports have been collected by the HRAI reporters and associated organizations in addition to the reports published by the state media, unofficial media, and international resources. This report highlights some of the most important human rights incidents in Iran in 2014, which could be useful for the human rights activists and researchers. The names of the executed political prisoners or those awaiting the execution decree as well as arrested individuals in different categories are also included in this report.

Behnam Ibrahimzadeh Deprived Of Proper Medical Treatment

HRANA News Agency – The arthritis of the neck is a disease that Behnam Ibrahimzadeh, the labour activist and political prisoner, was diagnosed with during his imprisonment. It has caused a distance between the fifth and sixth vertebrae in his neck, however he is deprived of medical furlough and permission for being transferred to a hospital.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Behnam Ibrahimzadeh, labour activist and political prisoner of Rajaei Shahr prison, who has been diagnosed with arthritic of neck during his imprisonment, faces a problem on the fifth and sixth vertebrae on his neck due to the pressures during the imprisonment and lack of proper medical treatment, and in contrary with recommendation of the physician for surgery, the permission for being transferred to a hospital is not being given to him. Majid Mohammad Moein On Hunger Strike In Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Majid Mohammad Moein, imprisoned journalist, started his hunger strike in protest to uncertain status which has been created for his family following the issuance of the sentence.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Majid Mohammad Moein, journalist and prisoner of ward number 8 of Evin prison, started his hunger strike in protest to lack of evidence for his new sentence and his family’s uncertain condition by dictated sentence from security authorities. Arjang Davoodi Transferred To A Hospital Out Of Prison

HRANA News Agency – Arjang Davoodi, death row political prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison, was transferred to a medical centre out of prison, after he passed out.

Video Footage Of Activists’ Protest In Tehran

HRANA News Agency – The following short video shows the mass protest gathering of civil activists and families of political and civil prisoners in front of Dena Tiers. In this gathering doctor Maleki, mother of Saeid Zainali, missing student activist, mother of Omid Alishenas, imprisoned civil activist, and a group of Mohamad Ali Taheri’s supporters and a group of civil activists and human rights activists were present. Mother of Amin Anvari, a young civil activist who recently was arrested, for the first time had attended this rally, and demanded the freedom of her son.

Iraj Mohammadi On Hunger Strike In Zahedan Prison

HRANA News Agency – Iraj Mohammadi, political prisoner in the central prison of Zahedan after influx of the prison security forces in the general ward of this prison and inspection, on 3rd October, was transferred to the quarantine of this prison and has gone on hunger strike there.

Amin Anvari Arrested At His Home In Tehran

HRANA News Agency – Amin Anvari, civil and student activist was arrested by the security forces and his house was investigated.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), four vehicles owned by the security forces went to the house of Amin Anvari, civil and student activist of Amir kabir University, with a court order that was issued by Branch number 2 of Evin court, and after seizing some of the properties, transferred him to an unknown location. Hasan Taffah, 7 Years Imprisonment Without Medical Treatment

HRANA News Agency – After seven years from the arrest of Hasan Taffah, Iraqi lawyer, this 86-year-old prisoner of Rajaei Shahr prison is suffering from different diseases including blood cancer, while he has been deprived of furlough since 2013.

A Student Activist Arrested In Hamedan

HRANA News Agency – Naser Toughiri, student activist of Boo-Alisina University of Hamedan is under arrest since September 30.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Naser Toughiri, student activist in Hamedan, who was summoned to the intelligence corps of police, have gone to the office of supervising buildings security of province, to be interrogated on behalf of intelligence corps of police.
