Soroush Sabet released from Prison

HRANA News Agency – Soroush Sabet – A Leftist student – was released from Evin Prison after serving his sentence.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Soroush was transferred to Ward 350 in Evin Prison on 2nd September 2012 to serve his 2 year sentence.  He received this suspended sentence with regards to his attendance at Leftist student protests back in 2007.

His sentence was approved by Judge Zargarnejad of the 16th Branch of Islamic Revolutionary Appeal Court in Tehran.

Soroush Sabet won the Bronze Medal at Computer Olympia and held the second place in Mathematics at Kharazmi Olympia both back in 2002. He also won the first place at Master’s level National University Entrance Examination in 2009.

This Leftist activist student was charged with “acts against the national security: protest and collude with intent to disturb the peace and national security” and was sentenced to two year imprisonment.

Sunni prisoner deprived of medical treatment

HRANA News Agency – Aram Mikaeli, a Sunni prisoner of conscience detained in Saghez Central Prison, Kurdistan province of Iran, has been deprived of medical treatment despite suffering from numerous medical conditions.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), despite the judicial authorities approving a period of medical leave for Aram to receive medical treatment, the security forces have prevented the decision from being enforced. A political prisoner in critical health condition

HRANA News Agency – Ali Salanpoor, the political prisoner of Rajai Shahr prison is suffering from Cervical Vertebrae and spinal disorders, but he is facing medical negligence.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ali Salanpoor who was arrested on December 19, 2010 and sentenced to five years in prison in revolutionary court is kept in hall number 12 of Rajai Shahr prison. A political prisoner transferred to unkown place

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad (Koroush) Nasiri, from the Yad-Avari-e-Imam-Naghi campaign was transferred to an unknown location.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mohammad (Koroush) Nasiri, the political prisoner of ward number 12 of Rajai Shahr prison, left his cell with all of his accessories, and yet there is no news about him. Three Kurdish youth sentneced to imprisonments

HRANA News Agency – Miad Ahmadi, Ezat Golparipour and Shaho Heidari, three young people from Sanandaj were sentenced to imprisonment and fines.

Latif Hasani ended his hunger strike after 52 days

HRANA News Agency – Latif Hasani, political prisoner who is in Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj, stopped his hunger strike after 52 days.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Latif Hasani, went on hunger strike in Central Prison of Tabriz on Sunday 18th April to oppose against violation of political prisoners legal rights such as being kept in their home city, and also, against prisoners’ families harassment. Sajedeh Arabsorkhi is summoned to Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency- Sajedeh Arabsorkhi is summoned to serve a one year prison sentence at Evin Prison.

Sajedeh Arabsorkhi is the daughter of Feyzollah Arabsorkhi a political activist and a member of Iranian Reformist party.

Manuchher Kholousi’s trial adjourned in Mashhad

HRANA News Agency – Manuchher Kholousi, a Bahai from Mashhad, was tried on July 8.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA),  he was charged with “acting against national security by giving interviews with foreign media.” However no interviews with Mr. Kholousi are known, in either Iranian or foreign media. A Kurdish student sentenced to imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Miad Ahmadi , from   Sanandaj  city , received a 5 year suspended jail sentence and a fine of 5,000,000 Tomans due to his political activities on Facebook.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Miad Ahmadi –a student of Architecture at Sanandaj Azad University- was arrested on 9th April by intelligence security officers. He was kept at custody for a month at the Ministry of Intelligence and National Security and then he was transferred to the Central Prison of Sanandaj. An Iranian computer expert was tried by the revolutionary court

HRANA News Agency – Morteza Taradiun, the Iranian computer network expert, who had served 6 months in Evin prison last year, has gone to trial again.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Morteza Taradiun, was arrested on charge of acts against national security and espionage for conflicting governments by hacking, on September 4, 2013. After two months in solitary confinements of ward 240, and two more months in ward 209, his was charged with collusion and action against national security.
