HRANA News Agency – Omar Faghihpour, Kurdish political prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison, has served 16 years of his life sentence and despite having the right of furlough or parole, he is still kept in the prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), he had been arrested in 2000 and charged with acting against national security and war against God through contact with the Democratic Party of Kurdistan. He was sentenced to death in Mahabad revolutionary court, and then the court of appeal reduced his sentence to life imprisonment with a degree of extenuating. Two Civil Rights Activists Tried in The Appeal Court In Tabriz
HRANA News Agency – The hearing of appeal request of Taha Kermani and Hussein Alimohammadi Alvar was held on Saturday, 16 January in Branch 7 of the Court of Appeal of East Azerbaijan Province. The Court declared the end of the hearing and will issue the final sentence.

Ramazan Ahmad Kamal Beaten By Prison Guards Until He went To Coma
HARANA News Agency – Ramazan Ahmad Kamal, a Syrian Kurd prisoner who was supposed to be sent to the hospital for treatment, after being beaten by the prison guards passed out and went into a coma. This happened on Wednesday and after five days he woke up from the coma in the “Imam Khomeini” hospital.

3 Activists Imprisoned In Khoy
HRANA News Agency – By applying the imprisonment sentences of “Amin Hajilu”, “Araz Khasehtarash” and “Islam Ali Akbarlou”, these three civil rights activists were transferred to Khoy prison, to endure their one month imprisonment.
According to the sources of HRANA, Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran, these three Turkish (Azeri) activists were detained in February last year in connection with the commemoration of “International Day of native language” and by the Revolutionary Court of Khoy, each of them was sentenced to three months imprisonment, which was reduced to one month imprisonment by the appeal court.
