A Trade Unionist Tried in Tehran Revolutionary Court

HRANA News Agency – Jamil Mohammadi, board member of the Free Trade Union of Workers in Iran, was tried in branch 15 of Tehran Revolutionary Court on Sunday morning, 8th February, also,  Jafar Azimzadeh, labor activist was summoned to court, by subpoena.

No Information about Behnam Ibrahimzadeh after 22 Days

HRANA News Agency – After 22 days of solitary confinement in Evin prison, there is no information about Behnam Ibrahimzadeh.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Behnam Ibrahimzadeh was transferred from ward number 2 of Rajai Shahr prison to solitary confinement in ward 209 of Evin prison on January 22, and yet he did not have any phone call or visit with his family.

A close source to him told HRANA’s reporter, “Behnam’s family does not have any information regarding his status and the only response that they received from authorities was that he had been transferred to ward 209 of Evin prison and even the reason for this transfer is unknown”.

Behnam Ibrahimzadeh’s 5 year-imprisonment-sentence will be finished soon, however he has recently been sentenced to another 9 years and four months in prison, for charges related to black Thursday of ward 350 of Evin prison.

Behnam Ibrahimzdeh, labor and children’s rights activist was arrested by security forces on June 12, 2010, and was first in revolutionary court sentenced to 20 years in prison. This sentence was reduced to five years in appeal court. He is currently serving the fourth year of his sentence.

A Labor Activist Summoned to Intelligence Office in Sanandaj

HRANA News Agency – Mozafar Salehnia, Labor activist, was summoned to the office of Ministry of Intelligence in Sanandaj and was interrogated.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mozafar Salehnia, labor activist and board member of the Free Trade Union, was summoned to the office of Ministry of Intelligence in Sanandaj on 8th February in the morning, and was interrogated from 12 pm to 14 pm. Labour Activist Arrested in Sanandaj

HRANA News Agency – Mehrdad Amin Vaziri, labour activist, was summoned to Revolutionary Court in Sanandaj. Also, Zaniar Baghian, another labour activist in this city has been arrested.

More than 30 Trade Units Closed in Mazandaran Province

HRANA News Agency – Administration office to public premises in Mazandaran province has closed some Photo Shops for the alleged violation of regulations and failure to observe the Islamic affairs.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), during last week, Administration office to public premises, in two stages on Saturday and Tuesday has closed at least 30 trade units due to non-compliance with relevant laws and non-compliance with Islamic values. The majority of these trades were based in the cities of Amol, Babul and Ghaemshahr. There are a few Hear salons and Printers shops among the closed trades.
