According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Latif Hasani political prisoner in Tabriz Central prison, went on hunger strike on 18th of May, to protest against the violation of political prisoners rights, violating the principle of prisoners’ separation based on kind of crimes in prisons, and political prisoners legal rights including the right to transfer them to their home city, leave permission and also to protest against the harassment of the families of political prisoners. No information about an arrested children rights activist
HRANA News Agency – There is no information about the status of Said Shirzad, the children rights activist, who was arrested last week in Tabriz.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Said Shirzad was arrested at his workplace in Tabriz refinery on June 2nd however he has not called his family yet.
A close source to him told HRANA’s reporter, “Said has not has any contact with home and after the inquiries of his family, they have told that intelligence service has arrested him and interrogations might take 20 days long”.
This source was not aware of his charge(s) and said, “We think he is kept at the Tabriz intelligence service detention center”.
Said Shirzad had been arrested on August 22, 2013 while he went to Ahar for helping people of East Azerbaijan province during aftermath of earthquake. He was released on bail after 19 days.
Said Shirzad was sentenced to one year in prison for this case.
Reza Shahabi on day 8 of hunger strike
HRANA News Agency – Reza Shahabi Zakaria, the labor activist is on hunger strike since his transfer to Rajai Shahr prison.

A jailed trade unionist in critical health condition
HRANA News Agency – Shahrokh Zamani has been transferred to the clinic of Rajai Shahr Prison on April 19th and 20th.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Shahrokh Zamani had ended his hunger strike after 39 days after being transferred to the political prisoners’ ward, however the authorities transferred him to the non-political prisoners’ ward after only one day and he began his hunger strike again demanding to be returned to the political prisoners’ ward in Rajai Shahr Prison. Shahrokh Zamani is still on hunger strike
HRANA News Agency – Shahrokh Zamani has begun hunger strike after being transferred to the dangerous prisoners’ ward once again.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Shahrokh Zamani had started his hunger strike on March 8th in solidarity with Gonabadi Dervishes. After being exiled to Ghezel Hesar Prison he continued his hunger strike for 39 days demanding to be returned to the political prisoners’ ward in Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj until April 14th when the authorities returned him to Rajai Shahr Prison.
