Two Activists Summoned and Interrogated in Rudsar
HRANA News Agency – Ismail Fakouri and Yazdan Mohammad Beigi, two political activists from Rudsar were summoned by security agencies, and were interrogated on charge of disturbing the public opinion. After completing the interrogation process, Mr. Fakouri was released on bail, but Mr. Beigi was detained for two days.

HRANA News Agency – Mahmoud Masoumi, civic activist who was arrested along with six other civic activists during a coordinated operation by security agencies on February 1, 2018, was released on the bail until the trial.

Sakhi Rigi’s Sentence Reduced to 10 Years
HRANA News Agency – The sentence of 20 years imprisonment for Sakhi Rigi, Baloch blogger, and exiled prisoner in Ahvaz prisoner, who is in his 9th year of imprisonment, has been reduced to 10 years imprisonment. Therefore, he is eligible for leave and even parole, but prison authorities oppose it.

HRANA News Agency – Hossein Ahmadi Nia’z, Ramin Hosein Panahi’s lawyer, announced the elimination of his client’s incommunicado.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Hossein Ahmadi Nia’z announced the elimination of incommunicado of Ramin Hossein Panahi on Wednesday, February 28. He continued and told HRANA’s reporter: “After consulting with the judge, I asked them to remove the ban on Ramin Hossein Panahi’s visit, and after agreeing with this request, along with Ramin’s mother, I visited Ramin”. Hedayat Abdullahpour Sentenced to Death Despite Supreme Court’s Objection
HRANA News Agency – Hedayat Abdullahpour was sentenced to death again after his case was sent to the appeal court by the Supreme Court of the country. Hossein Ahmad Niazi, lawyer of this political prisoner, told HRANA that he would make an appeal for his client.

The Latest Status of Arrested Civil Activists in Arak
HRANA News Agency – Since the beginning of public protests in January, a number of civil activists from Shazand and Astaneh, including Kian Sadeghi, Behzad Alibekhashi, Mohammad Najafi, Ali Bagheri and Abbas Safari, have been arrested by security forces. The arrests took place in a special way after they took part in the disclosure of how one of the protesters of the recent events, Vahid Heidari, died in the Arak Basij detention center. So far, two of these detainees have been released on a bail, and the rest of them have been transferred to Arak Prison by completing the interrogation process.

Two Activists Released from Arak and Evin Prisons
HRANA News Agency – Behzad Ali Bakhshi, a civil activist who had been arrested in connection with the protests in the Central Province in January, was released on the bail of 3.5 billion IRR from Central Prison of Arak on February 27. Saeed Seifi Jahan, one of the detainees on February 1 was also released from Evin Prison on the bail on February 26.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Behzad Ali Bakhshi was released temporarily with a bail of 3.50 billion IRR from Central Prison of Arak on February 27. This prisoner had been arrested along with four other civil activists from Sha’zand and Astaneh, named; Kian Sadeghi, Mohammad Najafi, Ali Bagheri and Abbas Safari. Ahmad Karimi Released after Serving 9 Years
HRANA News Agency – Ahmad Karimi, political prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj who has been serving his 15-year imprisonment from nine years ago, was released on parole. Mr. Karimi who was arrested before the election in 2009, was tried in an “arranged” court, after the election and was stuck by the security institutions as a detainee of the post-election demonstrations, and even sentenced to death in the primary court.
