Mahmood Beheshti Visited his Family without Prison Uniform

HRANA News Agency – Mahmood Beheshti Langaroodi, imprisoned teacher and trade unionist, could visit his family without wearing prison uniform. This imprisoned teacher was deprived of visiting for refusing to wear the prison uniform during past weeks.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mr. Beheshti had expressed the reason of his refusal from wearing prison’s uniform, as “preserving his dignity as a human being, teacher and union activist”. Iranian Authorities Approve Virginity Tests on 2 Political Prisoners

HRANA News Agency – In the last report of the UN Secretary General on the situation of human rights in Iran, Islamic republic officials have confirmed the virginity test of Atena Faraghdani and stated that prison authorities performed the test in response to sexual harassment allegations in some websites.

Behnam Ebrahimzadeh Deprived of Medical Furlough

HRANA News Agency – The Court verdict of 7 years, 10 months and 15 days in prison for Behnam (Asad) Ebrahimzadeh, imprisoned labor activists in Rajai Shahr prison, has not been communicated to him in writing yet and his family is trying to get a furlough permission for him.

One of this imprisoned labor activist’s close relatives in an interview told HRANA, Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran: “Mr. Ebrahimzadeh’s family went to see Mr. Hajiloo, at Tehran Prosecutor’s Office, to apply for furlough. They were given a letter addressed to the Central Forensic Office located in St. Somayeh, for confirmation of the disease of Nima Ebrahimzadeh, son of this imprisoned labor activist. The Central Forensic Office referred them to the Forensic Office in West Tehran and then to Imam Khomeini hospital and next Wednesday they will get the result”. ITF Condemns Imprisonment Sentence of Reza Shahabi

HRANA News Agency – The International Transport Workers’ Federation condemned the imprisonment sentence of Reza Shahabi and by describing it as inhuman and illegal, asked for his unconditional release.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mac Urata the secretary of domestic transport of ITF said, “It is difficult for most of us to imagine enduring the relentless persecution experienced by Reza Shahabi – inhumane and illegal punishment simply for carrying out lawful trade union activities as guaranteed by universally declared international labour standards”. Mohammad Saifzadeh Released from Rajaei Shahr Prison of Karaj

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Saifzadeh, imprisoned lawyer and human rights activists, was released from Rajaei Shahr Prison of Karaj after applying integration of sentences and serving his sentence.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mohammad Saifzadeh, member of Human Rights Activists Association, was sentenced to 6 years in prison in two different cases. 2 Prisoners Transferred to Central Prison of Uremia

HRANA News Agency – Matin Khezri and Hossain Ahmadipoor were transferred from intelligence service of Uremia to central prison of Uremia during past days.

Shokoufeh Azar Masouleh and Puria Ibrahimi Sentenced to Imprisonment and Lashes

HRANA News Agency – The verdict of Shokoufeh Azar Masouleh and Puria Ibrahimi, two civil society and social activists was issued in branch 26 of the revolutionary court headed by Judge Ahmadzadeh on March 12.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Puria Ibrahimi has been acquitted of the charges of organizing the assassination of Judge Salvati and was sentenced to two years in prison and five years of suspended imprisonment and 30 lashes on chareges of “propaganda against the Islamic Republic in favor of so-called human rights organizations and groups” and “disturbing public order by participating in illegal gatherings”. Motaleb Ahmadian Transferred to an Unknown Place

HRANA News Agency – Motaleb Ahmadian, political prisoner, was transferred from Sanandaj prison to an unknown place on March 8th and has not returned to this prison till today.

A Report about 3 Political Prisoners in Minab Prison

HRANA News Agency – Three political prisoners who are kept in Minab prison, have been sentenced to a total of 100 years. Three Kurdish political prisoners, “Mohammadhossein Rezaei”, “Kamal Sharifi” and “Afshin Sohrabzadeh” were sentenced respectively to 45, 30 and 25 years in prison and have been exiled to Minab prison long ago.
