Morteza Rahim Tayefeh Kept in Prison despite Physical Difficulties

HRANA News Agency – Morteza Rahim Tayefeh, 70, suffers from variety of diseases because of aging and is held in a bad condition in Hall 12 of ward seven in Evin prison. Although, he could been qualified to be released through parole, but the authorities ignore his condition.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Morteza Rahim Tayefeh, retired Army colonel, who has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment with a security charge, has already spent half of his sentence (5 years) in prison. Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand Returned to the Prison

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand, imprisoned journalist and human rights activist, whom had been taken urgently to Taleghani hospital after deterioration of his physical condition, was returned to the prison the day after. He is still on hunger strike, and his condition is critical.
According to the report of Human Rights Activist News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mohammad Sadiq Kaboudvand, imprisoned journalist and head of the Kurdistan Human Rights Organization, who, despite suffering from different and serious diseases, has gone on hunger strike to protest against his new case being made against him, since 8th May, following deterioration of his physical condition was transferred to Taleghani hospital and the day after, without any changes in his condition was returned to the prison. No Information about Bagher Gholami Since Being Arrested on March 6th

HRANA News Agency – Bagher Gholami (Naami) Arab citizen who had converted from Shi’ism to Sunnism and had been active to promote that, has been in the Ministry of Intelligence detention in Ahvaz since March 6th. There is no information about his fate so far.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran, Bagher Gholami (Naami), son of Isaac, born on December 4, 1980, married and father of two, has been arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence agents in Ahvaz, on March 6th. Mohammad Mozaffari Sentenced to Imprisonment, Lashes and Fine

HRANA News Agency – Based on a verdict issued by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran, political activist, Mohammad Mozaffari was sentenced to two years imprisonment, 20 million IRR fine and 74 lashes.

Behnam Ibrahimzadeh Transferred to the Hospital

HRANA News Agency – Behnam Ibrahimzadeh, labour activist, who is suffering from lumbar disc was transferred to the hospital on Wednesday May 18 and returned to Rajaei Shahr prison on Thursday May 19.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Behnam Ibrahimzadeh, labour activist who is imprisoned in Rajaei Shahr prison is suffering from kidney problem, arteritis and lumbar disc and was transferred to Imam Khomeini hospital on Wednesday May 18, and returned to the prison a day later. Soheila Kargar Arrested in Qazvin

HRANA News Agency – Sources close to the Soheila Kargar, citizen of Qazvin, reported that she was arrested. On May 15, 2016 Ms. Kargar was arrested at her home by the security forces violently. She has been able to contact his family from prison only once so far. Also the reason for her detention is not known.

Mohammad Najafi Acquitted in One of Three Cases

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Najafi, a lawyer and human rights activist was acquitted of the allegation of “7 disciplinary violations” at branch number 3 of law enforcement court of Markazi province. This was one of the three cases that the lawyer is prosecuted on the basis of them.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on May 20, 2016, branch number 3 of law enforcement court of Markazi province issued the acquittal of Mohammad Najafi for allegation of “7 disciplinary violations”. Ali Matrodi Arrested and Imprisoned in Ahwaz

HRANA News Agency – Ali Matrodi, Arab poet was arrested and transferred to Shiban prison in Ahwaz after referring to the Revolutionary Court of Falahieh (Shadegan) to serve his sentence of one year imprisonment.

Afshin Sohrabzadeh Struggling for his Life in Minab Prison

HRANA News Agency – The respiratory problems of Afshin Sohrabzadeh, political prisoner suffering from cancer in Minab prison, progressed and his health condition deteriorated and he coughed blood on April 20, he reached the brink of suffocation. In this jail, it is 5 months that the doctor is not present in the clinic.
