4 Civil Activists in Tehran Sentenced to Imprisonments

HRANA News Agency – Arash Sadeghi, Golrokh Ebrahimi, Naveed Kamran and Behnam Mosivand have been sentenced by the Revolutionary Court Branch 15 to imprisonments.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on Saturday, 22nd August, primitive sentence of four civil activists was communicated in Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court to them. According to this verdict, Arash Sadeghi has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment, that in accordance with Article 134 of the Penal Code it will be reduced on the appeal court, Golrokh Ebrahimi was sentenced to six years imprisonment, and Navid Kamran and Behnam Mosivand were sentenced to 18 months imprisonment each. HRANA News Agency – Nasrin Sotoudeh, jurist, charted solicitor and member of the Association of Human Rights Defenders, was summoned to the Court, Branch 2 in Evin.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Nasrin Sotoudeh, with announcing this news, said: “Last Sunday, I was notified by a judicial letter from court that was precisely the same as when a court summons a charged person, just it was not titled as “Summons Letter”.”
