PEN Canada Demands Mustafa Azizi’s Unconditional Freedom

HRANA News Agency – PEN Canada, called for the unconditional freedom of Mustafa Azizi, Canadian writer and filmmaker.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), PEN Canada, in a statement demanded the unconditional prohibition of the pursuit, and this Canadian citizen’s release from prison in Iran. The Board, in accordance with Article 19 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, has urged the Iranian authorities to release Mustafa Azizi, who has only expressed his ideas in a peaceful way.
Mr Azizi is going to have a trial on 1st June, on charges of propaganda against the regime, gathering and collusion with the aim of acting against the national security, insulting the leadership and insulting the founder of the Islamic Republic, at Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court, presiding by Judge Salvati.
Mustafa Azizi, a prominent writer and TV producer, was arrested on 1st February 2015, and was transferred to solitary confinement in ward 2A in Evin prison. After spending 33 days in jail in ward 2A, under the management of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, in early March, he was transferred to ward 8, Hall 7 of Evin Prison.
It is to say that Mr. Azizi is Canadian citizen and he had traveled to Iran to visit his family, and a month after returning home, he was arrested by the security forces.
Mostafa Azizi, is a writer and former producer of television programs in Iran, who in 1990s and 2000s had produced; “Talash”, a TV show, and “Mosafer va rahe bepayan” a TV series, which were of popular television programs.
Azizi is a member of ASIFA International and for four years he was CEO of ASIFA in Iran.

Pirooz Mansoori in Critical Health Condition in Rajai Shahr Prison

Raoof Shahbazi Arrested and Transferred to Prison in Hamedan

HRANA News Agency – Raoof Shahbazi, student of Hamedan University of Technology, has been arrested and transferred to Hamedan prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on 7th December last year, Mr. Raoof Shahbazi along with Sobhan Zamanian were sentenced to two years imprisonment by the Revolutionary Court of Hamedan, on charge of insulting the founder of the Islamic Republic in cyberspace. 2 Executed Prisoners Buried in Kermanshah

HRANA News Agency – Two executed prisoners of Ghezelhesar Prison, in Karaj, were buried in Kermanshah and Kohdasht.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), these two men, Ali Koshki, 24, and Ahmad Ebrahimi, 47, son of Hossein, who were charged with drugs related crimes, were hanged in Ghezelhesar prison on Monday 25th May.
