Amanollah Mostaghim came for medical furlough

HRANA News Agency – Amanollah Mostaghim, a coordinator of Iranian Bahais scientific institute who is serving his imprisonment sentence in Rajai Shahr prison has come for a medical furlough.

 

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Amanollah Mostaghim has been allowed to have a medical furlough on Wednesday evening because of the problems he has in his heart.

 

This living in Shiraz Bahai civilian has been sentenced to 5 years in prison and is suffering from diabetes and heart disease. Because of this the doctors have been saying that being in the prison and under stress is dangerous for him.

 

Iranian Bahais scientific institute has been established in 1987 and some years after the cultural revolution, during which lots of Bahai and dissidents were fired from the universities. The aim of this institute has been to educate the Bahai students.

Ten personal cars of Sunni prisoners have been confiscated

HRANA News Agency – The cars of 10 Sunni political prisoners of Rajai Shahr prison have been confiscated.

 

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), each of these prisoners have received a verdict from the revolutionary court telling them that their cars have been confiscated for the government.

 

The ten prisoners and their cars are:

Mokhtar Rahimi (Peykan), Mohammad Gharibi (Peykan), Omar Ghader Abdollahi (Peugeot), Foad Ahmad Nouri (Peugeot), Omid Mahmoudi (Peykan), Bahman Rahimi (Jeep), Mohammad Yavar Rahimi (Peugeot), Keykhosro Sharafi Pour (Peykan), Alam Barmashti (Peykan), Teymour Naderzade (Peykan).

 

Most of these prisoners are from poor Kurdish families.

16 Sunni prisoners were released and 5 sentenced to death

HRANA News Agency – Sixteen Sunni prisoners in Rajaie Shahr prison have been released as they spent all of their imprisonment verdict and five priosners have been sentenced to death.

The furlough of the priest Sabokrooh and his wife has been denied

HRANA News Agency – The authorities denied the furlough of Farhad Sabokrooh the priest of Rabani community church of Ahwaz and his wife Shahnaz Jizan.

 

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the judge in the court denied the furlough of the priest Farhad Sabokrooh and his wife and alibied that the dossier of Farhad Sabokrooh has been lost. Four Gonabadi dervishes have been tried

HRANA News Agency – On Wednesday morning four of imprisoned Gonabadi Dervishes in Adelabad prison of Shiraz were transferred to branch 1 of criminal court of Kowar in terms of their dossiers’ process.

 

According to the report of Majzoobane Noor website, Mohsen Esmaieli, Seyyed Ebrahim Bahrami, Mohammad Ali Sadeghi and Mohammad Ali Dehghan of the imprisoned dervishes in Adelabad prison of Shiaz were tried in branch 1 of criminal court of Kowar by judge Kashkooli in presence of Mr. harsini, Nazari and Sadeghi the lawyers. Navid Khanjani has been transeferred to the hospital

HRANA News Agency – Navid Khanjani the human rights activist has been transferred to one of the Tehran hospitals from Rajaie Shahr prison due to heart and respiratory diseases and spinal problems.

 

According to the report of the committee of human rights reporters, this Baha’i citizen and former member of the committee of human rights reporters was transferred to the hospital on August 3 by the recommendation of the prison doctors because of critical health condition and heart disease. Supreme Court sent back the cases of 8 Sunnis

HRANA News Agency – The Supreme Court has sent the cases of 8 Sunnis who were sentenced to death to the branch 27 of revolutionary court.

 

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the cases of Pourya Mohammadi, Omid Peyvand, Mokhtar Rahimi, Bahman Rahimi, Mohammad Yavar Rahimi, Shahram Ahmadi, Mohammad Gharibi and Faramarz Shah Nazari have been sent back by the Supreme Court not accepting the death sentenced issued by the revolutionary court. Manizhe Nasrollahi has been released from prison

HRANA News Agency – Manizhe Nasrollahi has been released from Evin prison after serving almost 3 years and a half in prison.

Mohammad Ghanbari set himself on fire in front of Islamic Parliament

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Ghanbari, a member of Ahl-e Haqq, set himself on fire in front of the Islamic Parliament on Saturday morning to protest against the government’s failure to address the grievances of this religious minority.  Ghanbari suffered severe burns and was immediately taken to the hospital by the parliament’s security personnel.  Finally, he succumbed to his injuries and died at Tehran’s Shahid Motahari Hospital in late afternoon.
