Five Bahais arrested in Tehran

HRANA News Agency – Babak Mobasher and his father-in-law Alaeddin Khanjani were arrested around 6 a.m. yesterday when agents from the Ministry of Intelligence raided their home.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA),  Alaeddin Khanjani is the son of Jalaluldin Khanjani, one of the imprisoned “Yaran” (national facilitators for the Bahai community in Iran, while Babak Mobasher is the husband of Leva Khanjani, a Bahai excluded from tertiary education, who was freed from Evin prison after serving most of a two-year sentence on June 24, 2014. Four Bahais arrested in Shiraz

HRANA News Agency – Agents from the Shiraz city police arrested three Bahai men and one woman: Adib Haqqpazhouh, Sa`id `Abadi, Wahid Dana and Mrs. Bahiyyeh Ma`navipour on August 5th.

Officials transfer Christian prisoners to different sections

HRANA News Agency – Prison officials have dispersed the newly converted Christian prisoners in different wards to block those inmates’ relationship in Karaj Central prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Behnam Irani, Hossein Saketi  Aramsary (Stephen), Reza Rabbani (Silas) and Abdolreza Haghnejad are the names of four converted Christians detained in the Central prison in Karaj. Three Baha’is in Mashhad transferred to Vakil Abad prison

HRANA News Agency – Authorities have moved Mey Khalusi, Dari Amri and Shayan Tafazoli from the Ministry of Intelligence facilities in Mashhad to the quarantine at Vakil Abad prison in the same city.

6 Yarsan followers arrested in Hamedan

HRANA News Agency – Six followers of Yarsan (Ahl-e-Hagh) have been arrested by security forces in Hamedan.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), security forces arrested Aynollah Yari and his two children, with the names of Pegah Yari (23 years old) and Amir Yari (14 years old), on Monday, August 28, and transferred them to an unknown location. Five Bahais released on bail in Tabriz

HRANA News Agency – Four members of the Bahadari family, and Shabnam Issakhani, have been released on bail.

Iqan Shahidi granted a 6-day furlough

HRANA News Agency – Iqan Shahidi came to furlough from Rajai Shahr Prison of Karaj.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Iqan Shahidi, a Bahai active in the struggle for equal educational opportunities who is serving a 5-year sentence as a prisoner of conscience in Raja’i Shahr prison, near Tehran, has been granted six days of leave from prison, beginning on July 28.

Another Sunni convert arrested in Ahwaz

HRANA News Agency – The Iranian security forces arrested yet another Ahwazi Sunni convert in the Khuzestan province on Thursday, with at least ten other Sunni converts arrested in the area within the last fortnight.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), 35-year old Saeed Haydari, who recently converted from Shi’ism to Sunni Islam, was arrested on 24 July 2014 at his home in the town of Taleghani (Al-Kora) in Mahshahr city, Khuzestan. Sunni convert with a brain tumor deprived of medical treatment

HRANA News Agency – A Sunni convert from Iran’s Ahwazi Arab minority currently detained in Karoun Prison in Ahwaz is being deprived of adequate medical treatment by prison authorities, despite suffering from a brain tumor.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), prison authorities have refused to transfer 30-year old Jaber Sakhravi, whose condition is deteriorating, to a hospital outside of the prison where he can receive adequate medical treatment.
