2 Political Prisoners on Hunger Strike in Rajai Shahr Prison
HRANA News Agency – Ebraham Firuzi, a Christian convert and Arash Moghadam Aslanpour, cultural activists, have gone on hunger strike since last Thursday in protest against the failure to respect the principle of separation of prisoners on the basis of their crimes.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Ebrahim Firuzi and Arash Aslanpour (Arash Eshai), who are held in ward 10 of Rajai Shahr prison, along with apolitical and sometimes dangerous prisoners, after writing a letter addressed to the head of the prison and after it was neglected by him, from Thursday 20th August went on hunger strike. They have asked the prison authorities, accordant with the law to transfer them to Hall 12, political and conscience prisoners’ ward in Rajai Shahr prison. At Least 8 Christians Arrested in Karaj
HRANA News Agency – Following the recent pressures on the Christian converts and ideological and religious dissidents in Iran, at least eight members of a house church in Karaj were arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic. Pastor Saeid Abedini’s condition in Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj, remains worrying.

Kamran Rahimiyan Freed after 4 Years in Prison
HRANA News Agency – Kamran Rahimiyan, one of the teachers of the Bahai Open University in Iran, has been released from Raja’i Shahr prison, near Tehran, at the end of a 4-year sentence.

Bahai Student Expelled from a Private University in Sari
HRANA News Agenc – Dorsa Qolizadeh, a Bahai student of architecture who had managed to enjoy two terms of tertiary education at Rouzbahan University, a private institution in Sari, has been expelled from the University following pressure from Iran’s Ministry of ‘Intelligence.’

Malek Mohmmad Abadian; under Detention for 3 and Half Years
HRANA News Agency – After three and half years of detention of the Malek Mohammad Abadian’s family in Sistan and Baluchistan, the revolutionary court of Zahedan is denying to release them on the bail, although the Supreme Court has cancelled the death sentence.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Zahedan’s judiciary is refusing to release the Abadian family on the bail, despite the promises and freedom of the others. Report on the Situation of 3 Imprisoned BIHE Staff
HRANA News Agency – Kamran Rahimiyan and his wife Faran Hesami, and Keyvan Rahimiyan are serving prison terms for their work for the Bahai Open University (BIHE): Kamran and Faran have 4-year sentences and Keyvan has a 5-year sentence.
