A Report About The Clinic Of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – The clinic of Evin prison is reported to be in a very bad condition which has increased the dissatisfaction among the prisoners.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), wrong medicine prescription that has been complained many times by the prisoners is just ignored and every time an inappropriate excuse is being given. Even though prisoners provided their medicines themselves from outside of the prison and gave it to the clinic for later usage, the medicines were tact. Physical Conditions Of Mostafa Azizi, Have Now Deteriorated

HRANA News Agency – The physical conditions of Mostafa Azizi, the imprisoned Iranian artist, have now deteriorated.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mostafa Azizi, the popular Iranian artist currently imprisoned at Iran’s notorious Evin prison, is now suffering from a host of inflammatory conditions that include asthma, sinusitis and severe pharyngitis. Prison Guards’ Inspections in Wards 7 & 8 of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – The Special Guard of Evin prison has done a series of unusual inspecting, during recent days, in ward 7 and ward 8, each of which lasted for several hours.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), during the first inspection which began in the early hours of the morning on Thursday 16th July, prison guards woke up the prisoners and sent them into the hall and corridors of the wards and started inspecting prisoners’ stuff. Interrogation of 43 Prisoners after Publishing a Letter

HRANA News Agency – After writing and publishing help – request letter to the Secretary General of the United Nations and Human Rights Organisations by 45 Security-Political Prisoners, Intelligence service at Evin prison summoned 43 of them from ward 7 to its office and interrogated them.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), after publishing of “the help-request letter of 45 Security-Political Prisoners at Quarantine section of Ward 7 at Evin Prison to the United Nations and Human Right organisations” with regards to attending to inhumane living condition of these prisoners who have been transferred from Ward 350 to the dungeon of Ward 7, massive attempts by Intelligence Services and Prosecution Office initiated at this Ward. A report about the political prisoners at ward 8 of Evin prison

HRANA News Agency – At the moment 800 prisoners are being kept is Evin Prison’s Ward 8 which has the capacity to hold 500 prisoners.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), there are 800 prisoners held in Ward 8 of Evin prison which has four halls (Halls number 7, 8, 9 , and 10), while this ward has the capacity to hold just 500 prisoners. No news of Hassan Sarami after 13 days of arrest

HRANA News Agency – Although 13 days have passed since Hassan Sarami and two of his children were arrested, the family still hasn’t received any news of their whereabouts or current condition.  Sarami’s brother, Ali, was hanged on Dec. 28, 2010 on charges of being a member of Mujahideen-e Khalq, an Iranian opposition group.

Political Activist remains in custody without being charged

HRANA News Agency – Reza Akbari-Monfared has been in custody for four months without being formally charged with any crimes.  Akbari-Monfared is a political activist whose family members were executed during the mass killings of 1980s in Iran.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Akbari-Monfared was arrested on Jan. 15, 2013 together his son, Ali, and has been locked up in Ward 209 of Evin Prison ever since.  His sister, Maryam, was arrested during the protests following the 2009 presidential elections in Iran and sentenced to 15 years in prison.  His son, Ali, was released from prison last March after posting bail.
Akbari-Monfared was a political prisoner in 1980s, and four members of her family were executed during the same time.  Ali-Reza, 20, Gholam-Reza, 26, Roghihe, 30, and Abdual-Reza, 23, were all hanged in the 80s.
