Yusef Emadi Faces New Charges in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Yusef Emadi, a defendant of the “Barg Music Website” case who is at Evin Prison, has been charged with communicating with the media and propaganda against the regime in a new case. The case which is opened at a time when he is enduring his imprisonment, is currently in Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court. It was also reported that this prisoner was transferred from ward 350 to section 8 of this prison without any reason or prior notice.

Mehdi and Hossein Rajabian Deprived of Medical Furlough

HRANA News Agency – The furlough request of Mehdi and Hossein Rajabian, two artist brothers in Evin prison, who suffer from different diseases, in addition to side effects of a one-month long hunger strike, was rejected. On the other hand, the authorities of prison infirmary are neglecting their medical treatment.

Political Prisoners of Ward 7 in Evin Prison Protest against Lack of Medical Treatment

HRANA News Agency – The prisoners of conscience in ward seven of Evin prison have struck to protest against the lack of medical attention for sick prisoners in this ward and signed a letter demanding the dismissal of the head of the infirmary of this ward. Among the ill prisoners in this ward, Mehdi and Hossein Rajabian, and Sohail Arabi have been deprived of medical treatment and being sent to a hospital.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), several prisoners in ward seven of Evin prison, including Mehdi Rajabian, Hossein Rajabian, Esmail Abdi, Soheil Arabi, Omid Alishenas, and Yousof Emadi, by writing a letter to the prison’s authorities have protested against “Ghasem Jafarnejad”, the head of ward seven’s infirmary,  and have demanded his dismissal. Doctors Confirm Mehdi Rajabian Suffers from MS

HRANA News Agency – The doctors in Imam Khomeini Hospital confirmed that Mehdi Rajabian, imprisoned artist in Evin Prison is suffering from MS. Close relatives of Mr. Rajabian believe that the lack of medical treatment in prison was the cause of the disease.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on Monday, December 26, 2016, Mehdi Rajabian after suffering from permanent headaches, severe weakness and given the history of his illness was transferred to Imam Khomeini hospital and the doctors of the hospital by examining the documents, confirmed that he was suffering from MS. Mehdi Rajabian Returned to Evin Prison by the End of His Furlough

HRANA News Agency – On December 4, Mehdi Rajabian who had been sent to furlough after a month of hunger strike, had to return to Evin Prison without completing his medical treatment. At the same time his brother Hossein Rajabian suffers from infection and kidney pain in the prison.

Hossein Rajabian and Vahid Sayadi Nassiri Ended Their Hunger Strike

HRANA News Agency – Hossein Rajabian and Vahid Sayadi Nassiri, two political prisoners in Evin prison ended their hunger strike after reaching their demands. Mr. Rajabian was sent on a 72-hour-long medical leave on Monday, December 5.

Rasoul Razavi Ended His Hunger Strike

HRANA News Agency – While Rasoul Razavi has announced that he has ended his hunger strike, on the forty-fourth day by a short messages, in the central prison of Karaj, Vahid Sayadi Nassiri has been transferred to solitary confinement on the thirty first day of his hunger strike, the left kidney of Hossein Rajabian has been infected and Ali Shariati was taken to a hospital. A number of other political prisoners still continue on their hunger strike.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Rasoul Razavi, political prisoner who had been exiled to the central prison of Karaj, has written a letter, saying that he ended his hunger strike because of the promise of judicial authorities, on the 44th day of his strike, on November 15, 2016. 3 Artists Sentenced to Imprisonment and Fine by the Appeal Court of Tehran

HRANA News Agency – Three artists have been sentenced each to three years in prison, three years prohibition from activities and 20 million tomans fine by Branch 54 of the Tehran Appeals Court. According to informed sources the final sentence of the musicians Mehdi Rajabian and Yusef Emadi and filmmaker Hossein Rajabian, before delivering them, has been sent to the executive branch in Evin Court (Shahid Moghadasi Court).
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), each of the three artists had been sentenced to six years in prison in the first stage by Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Moghiseh, on charges of insulting religious sanctities and propaganda against the regime. Amnesty International Calls for Quashing the Convictions of 3 Artists

HRANA News Agency – Amnesty International has called for quashing the convictions including financial fines of the 3 convicted artists. Two musicians Mehdi Rajabian and Yousef Emadi, and a filmmaker Hossein Rajabian have been each sentenced to 6 years in prison and financial fines.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Amnesty International has called on the Iranian authorities to quash the convictions of Mehdi Rajabian, Hossein Rajabian and Yousef Emadi as they arise solely from the men’s peaceful exercise of their rights of freedom of expression and association through music and film. The Appeal Court Of 3 Artists Was Held In Tehran

HRANA News Agency – The Appeal Court was hold for Mehdi Rajabian, Hossein Rajabian and Yousef Emadi, three artists, who had been sentenced together to eighteen years imprisonment in the first trial, and now they are waiting for the decision of the Court of Appeal.
