Sohail Arabi Deprived of Proper Medical Treatment in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Sohail Arabi, prisoner of conscience with a sentence of seven years and six months imprisonment, was arrested in December 2013 and is held in ward 350 of Evin prison. This prisoner, whose request for parole and leave have continuously been rejected, despite serious vision problems, has been denied having medical treatment. This denial has created a lot of problems for this prisoner of conscience. It is said that the case officer’s opinion on “no changes in his ideas” is one of the reasons for this exclusion.
A source close to Arabi family, regarding this prisoner of conscience, told HRANA’s reporter: “In addition to continued rejection of his requests for parole and leave so far, for an appointment with the optometrist, more than 10 times he has written letters to the head of the prison, prison clinic and even to the prosecutor, but still the optometrist has not come to visit him and even he has not been sent to medical centers outside the prison”. Sohail Arabi Deprived of Furlough and Parole

HRANA News Agency – Sohail Arabi, prisoner of conscience, with a sentence of seven years and six months imprisonment, who had been arrested in December 2013, is being held in ward 350 of Evin prison. Relatives of Mr. Arabi believe that chasing his complaint against the internal websites as an “Accusation and spreading lies”, is the reason of continued opposition to his furlough and parole.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Soheil Arabi’s death sentence was dropped last year, and by the new sentence he was first sentenced to 90 months imprisonment and two years of religious studies to prove his regret and then his sentence of 90 months fell by 12 months to 78 months. A Report about Sohail Arabi’s Situation in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Sohail Arabi is a prisoner of conscience who has been sentenced to 7 years and six months in prison and held in ward 350 of Evin prison since 2012. He had to spend his birthday on August 20 in prison, while judicial and prison authorities are rejecting his requests for parole and furlough.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), as Sohail Arabi’s death sentence was rejected last year, he was first sentenced to 90 months in prison and two years deprivation from religious activities and then to 78 months. Sohail Arabi Was Tried In Tehran

HRANA News Agency – The trial session of Sohail Arabi, the death row prisoner whose sentence was stopped, was held last Sunday in branch number 81 of criminal court of Tehran province.

Supreme Court Overturned Sohail Arabi’s Death Sentence

HRANA News Agency – Sohail Arabi’s death sentence on charge of insulting the prophet, was overturned by Branch 34 of the Supreme Court.

Sohail Arabi Complains against 3 News Websites

HRANA News Agency – Solicitors of Sohail Arabi, the citizen who has been sentenced to death, have complained against three news websites, inside Iran, for spreading lies against their client.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), following the publication of lies and falsifications by three news websites; Fars News Agency, Jahan News and Dana against Sohail Arabi and his solicitors’ complaints against them, the judge has issued “supply arrangement” for one of the sites. HRANA News Agency – One of the lawyers of Sohail Arabi expressed hope that the country’s judiciary has agreed to reconsider the trial and stop the order, immediately.

Supreme Court upholds Sohail Arabi’s death sentence

HRANA News Agency – Death sentence for Sohail Arabi, Facebook activist, who allegedly insulted the Prophet and Imams, was upheld by the Supreme Court and his case was sent to the Executive Office.

A cyber activist sentenced to 3 years in prison

HRANA News Agency – Sohail Arabi, a defendant of Cybercrime was sentenced to three years in prison on Wednesday 3rd September 2014.
