Six Prisoners Executed in Zahedan Prison

At dawn today, Monday, September 9, the execution of six prisoners previously sentenced to death for non-political crimes, such as drug-related offenses, was carried out in Zahedan Prison.

Haal Vsh identified of four of these prisoners as: Saeed Hassanzahi, 30 years old, father of three, from and residing in Zahedan; (first name unknown) Roudini, from Zahedan; Noor-Mohammad Noori (Noorzahi), married, from Afghanistan; and Farzad Sanchouli, 29 years old, father of three, from Zabol and residing in Zahedan.

These prisoners were transferred from the public ward to the prison’s quarantine section on Saturday night in preparation for their execution. They met with their families for the last time this morning.

According to the report, Mr. Hassanzehi was arrested in 2020 at his home on drug-related charges and was later sentenced to death by the Zahedan Revolutionary Court.

Mr. Noori was arrested in August 2022 at the Milak border terminal in Zabol on similar charges and was sentenced to death by the Zabol Revolutionary Court. He was transferred to Zahedan Prison in June 2023.

As for Mr. Sanchouli, he was arrested in Zabol around four years ago on drug-related charges and was later sentenced to death by the Zabol Revolutionary Court. He was transferred to Zahedan Prison about two years ago.

As of the time of this report, the execution of these prisoners has not yet been officially announced by prison authorities or relevant institutions.

Inmate Executed in Neyshabur Prison

 The execution of a prisoner previously sentenced to death on murder charges was carried out in Neyshabur Prison on Sunday, September 1, 2024, as reported by Neyshabur Prison.

The prisoner’s identity has been reported as “Ahmad Nazerifar, 30 years old.”

According to the report, the prisoner was arrested in 2021 on murder charges and was eventually sentenced to death by the judiciary.

As of the time of this report, the execution has not been officially announced by prison authorities or relevant institutions.

Two Prisoners Executed in Adelabad Prison of Shiraz

On September 1, the death sentences of two prisoners, who had previously been convicted of murder in a joint case, were carried out in Adelabad Prison of Shiraz.

Iran Human Rights Organization identified them as Ali Danesh, approximately 35 years old, and Akbar Zandi, 40 years old, a father of two.

The report states that Mr. Danesh and Mr. Zandi had been arrested in a joint case on charges of murder and were ultimately sentenced to death.

As of the time of this report, the executions have not been officially announced by prison authorities or relevant institutions.

Prisoner Executed in Hamedan Prison

At dawn on September 1, 2024, a prisoner who had been sentenced to death on murder charges was executed in Hamedan Prison.

HRANA has identified the individual as Saber Jamali, 29 years old, from Kangavar. According to information received by HRANA, Mr. Jamali had been arrested on murder charges and subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary.

As of the time of this report, prison officials and relevant authorities have not announced the execution of this prisoner.

On August 28, 2024, a prisoner previously sentenced to death on murder charges was executed in Parsilon Prison, Khorramabad.

HRANA has identified the prisoner as Meysam Hosseinkhani, a resident of Kuhdasht. He was previously arrested on murder charges and sentenced to death by the judiciary.

As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been officially announced by prison authorities or relevant institutions.

Four Prisoners Executed in Tabriz Prison

On Monday, August 26th, four prisoners, including two Afghan nationals and one Iraqi national, were executed in Tabriz Prison. They had previously been sentenced to death on charges related to drug offenses and murder.

According to Iran Human Rights Organization, the identities of these prisoners are Shapour Hosseini, a resident of Tabriz; Mohibullah (last name unknown), 32 years old, Afghan national; Moshref (last name unknown), 27 years old, Afghan national; and Erfan Abdulazizi, a resident of Kirkuk, Iraq.

A reliable source stated: “Shapour Hosseini was arrested two years ago on drug trafficking charges and sentenced to death. Mohibullah and Moshref were also arrested two years ago in a joint case for armed drug trafficking and sentenced to death. Additionally, Erfan Abdulazizi was arrested three years ago for the premeditated murder of a cement factory guard and was sentenced to death.”

On Thursday, August 22, a prisoner, previously sentenced to death on murder charges, was executed in Nahavand Prison, Hamadan province, as reported by Iran Human Rights Organization.

The prisoner has been identified as “Vahid Abbasi, 33 years old and a resident of Nahavand.”

The report cites a source stating that Mr. Abbasi was arrested three years ago on murder charges and was later sentenced to death by the judiciary.

On Thursday, August 22, 2024, the execution of a prisoner previously sentenced to death on drug-related charges was carried out in Tabriz Prison, as reported by Kurdpa.

The identity of the prisoner has been reported as Khaled Jahangiri, a resident of the village of “Balu” in the Urmia region, and a father of three children.

According to this report, Mr. Jahangiri was arrested about five years ago on drug-related charges and was sentenced to death by the judicial authorities.

Prisoner Executed in Urmia Prison for Drug-Related Crimes

At dawn today, August 21, the execution of a prisoner who had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related charges was carried out in Urmia Prison.

HRANA has identified the prisoner, who was hanged at dawn today, as “Mohammad Daghestani.” He had been arrested on drug-related charges and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary.

As of the time of this report, the execution has not been officially announced by prison authorities or responsible organizations.

Two Prisoners Executed in Tabriz Prison

On Sunday, August 18, two prisoners, convicted of drug-related charges, were executed in Tabriz Prison, as reported by Iran Human Rights Organization.

The identities of these prisoners have been reported as Abbas A’laei Aqblagh, from the village of Aqblagh in Meshgin Shahr, and Ali Azmoon.

According to a source, A’laei Aqblagh was arrested approximately four years ago, and Ali Azmoon was arrested about two years ago on drug-related charges and were sentenced to death by the judiciary.
