Arrest and Broadcast of Confessions from Several Citizens Accused of Collaborating with Israel

HRANA – The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) has released a video, without providing details, reporting the arrest of several citizens on charges described as “collaboration with Israel.” The video includes confessions from the detainees, although the circumstances under which these statements were obtained remain unclear.

At the same time this news was published, a video containing the confessions of these individuals was also released; confessions that were reportedly recorded under unknown conditions.

The video claims that the detained individuals had provided Israel with the coordinates of defense equipment. In their statements, these individuals also say that they had been in contact with some media outlets based outside Iran and had shared information with them.

In the text published by IRIB, these individuals were threatened with execution and confiscation of their property.

Ehsan Ghadiri Arrested at a Tehran Checkpoint

HRANA – Ehsan Ghadiri, a Tehran resident, was arrested on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at one of Tehran’s checkpoints and transferred to Greater Tehran Prison.

Based on information received by HRANA, Mr. Ghadiri was arrested on April 2, at the Fadaiyan-e Eslam Street checkpoint, where officers reportedly used violence during the arrest. His mobile phone and identification documents were confiscated at the time of his detention.

He was then transferred to Greater Tehran Prison and is currently being held in Ward 6 of the prison. So far, he has had no contact with his family or relatives.

As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the charges brought against this citizen.

Ehsan Ghadiri had previously been released from Evin Prison in September 2024 after completing a one-year prison sentence.

At Least 283 Citizens Arrested in Connection With the War

HRANA – Domestic media outlets have reported that 235 citizens in Tehran, 42 in Khuzestan, four in Maragheh, and two in Lorestan have been arrested. Activity on social media and sending images and videos to foreign media outlets were cited as the reasons for these arrests.

According to Student News Network, 235 citizens were arrested in Tehran, 93 of whom were transferred to prison. In this regard, the West Tehran Province Law Enforcement Command stated that these citizens had, through activity on social media, “created psychological insecurity in society, engaged in propaganda in favor of countries involved in the war, including the United States and Israel, incited and organized anti-government groups,” and had also “sent images and videos to Iran International.”

Meanwhile, ISNA reported the arrest of 42 citizens in Khuzestan. The report claims that these citizens had “made phone calls, taken photographs and videos of sensitive military and law enforcement centers, and sent them to foreign media outlets.”

Fars News Agency also reported that four citizens were arrested in Maragheh. The public prosecutor of Maragheh claimed that these individuals were arrested for “espionage through photographing and filming sites damaged in the U.S. and Israeli military attack on Iran and sending them to Iran International.”

According to Fars, the Lorestan Law Enforcement Force also announced the arrest of two citizens, stating that they were detained for “photographing locations struck by air attacks and certain military bases and sending them to foreign media, including Iran International.”

Tehran: Six Citizens Arrested on Charges of Leading Protests and Sending Images to Foreign Media

HRANA – At least six citizens have been arrested in Tehran Province. These individuals, who were detained in counties including Shahriar and Robat Karim, are facing accusations such as leading protests and sending war-related images to foreign media outlets.

According to Tasnim News Agency, at least six citizens were arrested in Tehran Province. The social deputy of the West Tehran Province Law Enforcement Command stated that four of these citizens were arrested in Robat Karim, adding: “They are among the elements linked to foreign-based networks and protest leaders in Robat Karim County.” He further claimed that a quantity of cold and firearms weapons was discovered from these citizens.

He also noted that one person was arrested in Andisheh, a city in Shahriar County, and had played a “central role” during the January 2026 protests.

The police official further stated that “public security police officers in western Tehran Province arrested another individual who had, by sending messages to Iran International, explicitly supported a U.S. military attack on Iran.”

The report does not provide further details regarding the identities of those arrested, the exact date and place of arrest, or where they are being held.

It is worth noting that gatherings and strikes by shopkeepers and bazaar merchants began in Tehran on Sunday, 28 December 2025, and after two days spread beyond markets and commercial centers. At least 37 Citizens Arrested Across Multiple Provinces

HRANA – At least one citizen in Tehran, five in West Azerbaijan, 28 in Sistan and Baluchestan, and three others in Semirom were arrested by security forces in connection with the war.

According to Tasnim, the Greater Tehran Police Information Center stated that the citizen was arrested for “operating under the cover of a trading company to illegally procure and use satellite equipment, including Starlink, and to establish communication with foreign countries.” A Starlink satellite device was also confiscated from him at the same time.

According to Mehr News Agency, the IRGC Intelligence Organization in West Azerbaijan announced that in the past 48 hours, five individuals had been identified and arrested on charges of links to the Mossad intelligence service and the Iran International network.

According to IRIB, the Ministry of Intelligence reported the arrest of 28 individuals along the borders of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, claiming that they were connected to “takfiri groups.” According to the ministry, some of those arrested had intended to carry out sabotage operations, and five others were also arrested on charges of sending information about certain locations to a media outlet affiliated with Israel. The ministry added that weapons, hand grenades, and several pieces of Starlink satellite internet equipment were discovered and confiscated during the operation.

According to Shahr News Agency, the police commander of Semirom announced the identification and arrest of three individuals by officers of the command’s intelligence organization. According to him, these individuals were arrested for communicating with anti-government networks and sending information and images of certain locations abroad.

Nasrin Sotoudeh Arrested by Security Agents

HRANA – Nasrin Sotoudeh, a lawyer and human rights activist, was arrested by security agents at her home last night and transferred to an undisclosed location.

Mehraveh Khandan, Ms. Sotoudeh’s daughter, announced in a post that her mother was arrested at her home on the evening of Wednesday, April 1. She also stated that electronic devices, including Ms. Sotoudeh’s laptop and mobile phones, as well as those of her husband, were confiscated.

Ms. Sotoudeh’s daughter added that her mother has not yet contacted the family, and the detaining authority remains unknown.

As of the time of this report, no information has been obtained regarding the reasons for her arrest or the charges brought against Nasrin Sotoudeh.

Nasrin Sotoudeh, a lawyer and human rights activist, has previously also faced arrest and conviction due to her activities.

At least 188 Citizens Arrested in Connection with the War

HRANA – As the wave of mass arrests related to the war continued, domestic media outlets reported the detention of another 188 individuals.

According to Mehr News Agnecy, the IRGC Intelligence Organization of Markazi Province announced that 65 citizens were arrested in relation to the war in the province. One person was arrested for “collecting information from sensitive centers for Israel.” The arrest of five others was also carried out on charges of “insulting Iran’s independence and freedom, Islamic sanctities, engaging in propaganda activities against the country, and insulting the flag and national and religious symbols.”

It further stated that 59 others were arrested for reasons including “welcoming and encouraging enemies in attacks on Iran, including attacks on residential areas, public places and property, military centers, the assassination of commanders and officials, as well as writing slogans and filming military and missile sites.”

Tasnim News Agency also reported, citing the prosecutor of Golestan Province, that at least 117 people have been arrested by the province’s IRGC intelligence forces since the start of the war.

According to him, these arrests were made for “cooperating with International and Manoto media outlets, supporting calls by opposition groups, and carrying out anti-security actions.” He further claimed that a number of firearms, bladed weapons, and propaganda leaflets featuring opposition figures had been discovered and confiscated from the accused.

Meanwhile, Young Journalists Club published a video from the IRGC Intelligence Organization showing several citizens arrested for filming missile attacks. In the released footage, at least six citizens can be seen. At the same time, their forced confessions were also broadcast, though the conditions under which they were recorded are unknown.

At Least Eight Citizens Arrested in Different Cities

HRANA – Four citizens in Selseleh County, one in Shirvan County, and three others in Eslamshahr were arrested on allegations including “contact with foreign media outlets and disturbing public opinion.” A video of the forced confession of one of these individuals has also been published, though the conditions under which it was recorded remain unclear.

According to Mehr News Agency, four citizens were arrested in Selseleh. Police in Lorestan Province announced that at dawn today, Tuesday, March 31, officers in Selseleh County arrested four individuals accused of “intimidation and disturbing public opinion.” The report claims that these citizens had gone door to door telling residents that an airstrike had occurred and urging them to evacuate the area. The accused have reportedly been handed over to the relevant judicial authorities for legal proceedings.

According to another Mehr report, the Shirvan police commander announced the arrest of an individual accused of contacting a foreign television network and asking countries involved in the war to attack his city of residence. A video of this citizen’s forced confession has also been released, although the circumstances in which it was filmed are unknown.

According to Tasnim, the Eslamshahr prosecutor stated that three individuals described as “agents linked to networks affiliated with the Israeli regime” were arrested in the county. Their arrest was reportedly related to recording and sending videos and messages to those networks.

At Least 67 Citizens Arrested in Connection with the War

HRANA – Domestic media outlets have reported that at least 67 citizens have been arrested in connection with the war: one in Robat Karim, two in Naein, ten in Tabriz, and 54 in the provinces of Tehran, Gilan, Fars, and Kermanshah.

According to Ham-Mihan, the Robat Karim prosecutor claimed that a citizen who had “recorded and sent footage expressing happiness over the attack on the Saba Battery factory to foreign media outlets” was identified and arrested.

In another report, Ham-Mihan announced that 10 citizens were arrested in Tabriz by police forces. According to the report, these individuals had allegedly been “sending information about the locations of security forces, as well as images and videos of projectile impact sites, to foreign media outlets.” It is further claimed that four of them were arrested on charges of espionage for countries involved in the war, including the United States and Israel.

Separately, Mehr News Agency reported that two citizens were arrested in Naein County. The Naein police commander stated that two citizens who had been “communicating with and sending information to foreign media outlets” were identified and detained.

In another report, IRIB News announced that 54 citizens were arrested in four provinces by the Ministry of Intelligence. According to the Ministry, 41 were arrested in Tehran, five in Fars Province, and eight in Gilan and Kermanshah Provinces.

According to this report, these individuals were arrested on allegations including “communication with countries involved in the war and opposition groups, intent to carry out terrorist acts, sending images of missile strike locations, filming and photographing such sites, and sending the material to Iran International.”

The same report added that during the arrests, authorities allegedly discovered and seized several homemade bombs, bladed weapons, a handgun, three organizational communication devices, one pistol, and one Starlink satellite internet device.

Mehrak Karimi-Pour Andalibi Arrested in Tehran

HRANA – Mehrak Karimi-Pour Andalibi, a resident of Tehran, was arrested by security forces on March 27, 2026 and transferred to Qarchak Women’s Prison.

Based on information received by HRANA, on Friday, March 27, this citizen was arrested at her private residence by security forces and subsequently transferred to Qarchak Women’s Prison.

As of the time of this report, no information has been obtained regarding the reasons for her arrest or the charges brought against her.
