HRANA News Agency – Ali Mobin, Arash Kamyab, Shahab Sharifi and Milad Yazdi, four musicians were arrested in Eastern Tehran, with “insulting manner” by the police, on Saturday July 24. On the other hand their families have no information about them at all.

2 Activists Arrested in Dil Village of Gachsaran
HRANA News Agency – Seyed Mohammad Miri and Ghasem Ghanbari, two political activists from the village of Dil, were arrested by the intelligence services, on July 31.

A Report about Detained Activists in Gachsaran
HRANA News Agency – In a very notable case, some of residents of Dil village, a rural area of Gachsaran, which had been started their civil rights inquires by using peaceful civil rights movements methods, following the 2009 presidential election including distributing night letters and by drawing graffiti, were identified by the security forces and arrested and tried. Among 8 people who were arrested 6 of them were tried and sentenced to prison.

A Poet Sentenced to Fine in Esfahan

At Least 7 Activists Still under Detention in Tabriz and Uremia
HRANA News Agency – 25 to 15 civilians who were arrested during the protests which were held in the past few days in Tabriz and Uremia have been released. However, at least 7 others are still under arrest.

6 Civil Activists Sentenced to Imprisonment in Gachsaran
HRANA News Agency – Abbas Mohammad Sadegh Pour, Ehsan Arshadi, Abdullah Alirezanejad, Mohammadreza Mobaraki and Mehran Zaki, Mojtaba Pourhassan, six civilians from Gachsaran in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province were sentenced to suspended prison sentences and banned membership in political parties on charge of insulting the Supreme Leader and propaganda against the state.

A Civilian Sentenced to Lashing in Mashhad
HRANA News Agency – Raoof Karimi from Mashhad was sentenced to 74 lashes by the court due to his wife’s complaint after a family contention, on charges of “insults and threats”. Flogging sentence from the perspective of human dignity is one of the issues that makes the Iranian government be seen as a violator of human rights treaties.
