A Teacher Summoned to IRGC of Varamin

HRANA News Agency – Hamid Rahmani, cultural activist and secondary school teacher in Varamin city, was summoned to the Intelligence Office of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. In the summons Mr. Rahmani has been asked to attend the office just “to give some explanations”.

A Prisoner Transferred to Urmia Prison for Amputation

HRANA News Agency – Yousef Parvaneh, 70-year old prisoner in Ghezalhesar prison, was transferred to Urmia prison for the implementation of the amputation sentence. He was charged with robbery.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), a 70-year-old prisoner, with the identity of “Yousef Parvaneh”, was transferred from Ghezelhesar prison in Karaj to Urmia Central Prison, regarding his case in this city, to have his fingers amputated. 4 Sunni Civilians Sentenced to Imprisonment for Jogging Together

HRANA News Agency – 4 Sunni residents of Boukan, who had been arrested during mass arrests, on October 6, 2016 were sentenced each to 5 years in prison. The judge who has issued the sentences has considered their jogging as acts against the national security.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Sunni citizens and residents of Boukan, with the names of Abdulghafoor Asouar, Yaqub Nooreh, Kamal Aliaghdam, and Haxhar Fareghi were each sentenced to 5 years in prison. Mehdi Kookhian and Sajad Afroozian Ended Hunger Strike in Maragheh Prison

HRANA News Agency – Mehdi Kookhian and Sajad Afroozian were transferred from intelligence corps of the revolutionary guard’s detention centre to Maragheh prison. Mr. Afrouzian and Mr. Kookhian were on hunger strike previously but they have ended their hunger strike on an unknown date in this detention centre.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mehdi Kookhian and Sajad Afrouzian were transferred from intelligence corps of the revolutionary guard’s detention centre to Maragheh prison on the bail, on Sunday, January 22. A Report About Azita Rafizadeh’s Status in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Azita Rafizadeh is an imprisoned Bahai citizen whose 6-year-old son has to live with another family due to the simultaneous arrest of her husband, Paiman Kooshkbaghi.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Azita Rafizadeh was born in 1980 in Shiraz. She finished the elementary and high school in Tonekabon, but like other young Bahais, she was deprived of going to university. For this reason she finished her bachelor degree in computer engineering in Bahai Institute of Higher Education (BIHE), which was designed and targeted young Bahais in order to enable them to continue their education. Atena Daemi Tried for the New Charges Put on Her

HRANA News Agency – The court session of Atena Daemi, imprisoned human rights activist, was held in Shahid Moghadas court in Evin prison. The IRGC is the compliance in this new law suit. During this session, some of the allegations of Ms. Daemi was dropped and the one regarding insulting the officers and hindering the apprehension was heard.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), allegations of insulting the supreme leader, insulting the authorities and spreading lies were dropped from the case and only the two allegations of insulting the officers during the arrest mission and hindering apprehension were heard. Saeid Shirzad Ends Hunger Strike after 39 Days

HRANA News Agency – Saeid Shirzad, political prisoner of Rajaei Shahr prison, ended his hunger strike after 39 days, after having a meeting with the authorities and their promises about consideration of his demands. Ali Shariati, another political prisoner who is imprisoned in Evin prison also ended his hunger strike on the 70th day, in response to the requests made by civil rights and political activists.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Saeid Shirzad, political prisoner of Rajaei Shahr prison, ended his hunger strike after a meeting with the representative of the prosecutor and prison’s judge supervisor and after they promised to consider his demands. A Prisoner Executed in Qazvin Before the End of Due Process

HRANA News Agency – Nusratullah Khazayi was executed in January, while his family says his case was still pending in the prosecutor and his death sentence was not finalized. In follow-up after his execution, several judicial authorities in Tehran Prosecutor’s office told them that the prisoner should have not been executed. This case can be another example of the concern of opponents of the death penalty who have emphasized on its irreversible and irrevocable nature.

Nahid Gorji Released on Parole after Serving 22 Months

HRANA News Agency – Nahid Gorji, prisoner of conscience in Vakil Abad Prison in Mashhad was released on parole by serving 22 months of her sentence of 3 year. When she was in detention, various reports on her critical physical and mental condition were released while she was deprived of proper medical care and the officials prevented to deliver her medicine which was provided by her family.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mrs. Gorji who in the wake of her civil activities in cyberspace had been arrested, was released on parole after serving 22 months of the sentence of 3 years in Vakil Abad Prison in Mashhad.
