A Civil Rights Activist Summoned to the Court of Marivan

HRANA News Agency – Dana Lenjabadi, a resident of Marivan, according to prosecutors subpoena issued by Branch one of Marivan court, attended the court and was released temporarily on a bail. He had been released recently after enduring a 20-month long imprisonment sentence.

At Least 4 Drug Offenders Executed in Ghezelhesar Prison in Karaj

HRANA News Agency – At least four drug offenders were executed in Ghezelhesar prison in Karaj. There is no information about the fate of two other prisoners who had been transferred for the execution.

Atena Daemi’s Family Members Tried in Evin Court

HRANA News Agency – The trial of three members of Atena Daemi’s family was held in Shahid Moghadas Court in Evin Prison. Two sisters and one of the brothers in law of this family attended the hearing. According to the interrogator, the brother in law was acquitted and Atena’s two sisters were released on the bail after being charged.

A Comprehensive List of Prisoners Charged with Muharebeh in Iran; 168 Prisoners

HRANA News Agency – According to the changes related to Moharebeh (waging war against god) in the New Islamic Penal Code, those who have been convicted of Moharebeh based on the previous penal code, will now have the possibility for a retrial, commutation and release. Currently there are 168 prisoners including 11 female prisoners in Iranian prisons whom are convicted of Moharebeh for different reasons and have are sentenced to long imprisonment or death. The following is a comprehensive list of “Prisoners charged with Moharebeh”.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), currently there are 168 prisoners including 11 female prisoners in Iranian prisons whom are convicted of Moharebeh for different reasons and are sentenced to long imprisonment or death. According to the changes in regards of Moharebeh in the new Islamic Penal Code, these prisoners could apply for retrial. Many of them could receive commutations and reach their release soon and considering the long prison terms of some of them, it could provide them the possibility of being release. The List of Death Row Prisoners Charged with Muharebeh

HRANA News Agency – The prisoners who have been convicted on charges of Muharebeh under the old law, have the possibility of a retrial, commutation of their sentences or being released, with regard to the changes on these kinds of charges in the IPC. At the moment, dozens of prisoners, including at least twenty-four male prisoners in Iran prisons have been sentenced to death on charge Muharebeh. The current below is the sixth list of the series of “Prisoners accused of Muharebeh” about these 24 imprisoned men.

According to the report of the Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), there are at least twenty four male death row prisoners who have been charged with Muharebeh, in different ways, are being held in Iran prisons. At Least 16 Prisoners Executed in 2 Prisons

HRANA News Agency – At least 16 prisoners, on charges of drug related crimes, armed robbery, and murder, were hanged in two prisons.

Human Rights organisations, earlier, had urged Iranian government to stop the execution of prisoners of drug related offences.

Release of Karim Chaichian; Continued detention and hunger strike of Mehdi Kokhian

HRANA News Agency – Karim Chaichian was released from Maragheh prison. Mehdi Kokhian, other detainee of this case, is still held in this prison. These two prisoners had gone on hunger strike by sewing their lips, after being transferred to the prison. Mehdi Kokhian is still on hunger strike.
