2 Artists Arrested in Abadan

HRANA News Agency – Seyed Hassan Mousavi and Rauf Delphi, two artists from Abadan were arrested by security forces on December 13. Their charges are not known.

3 Prisoners in Rey and Evin Prisons Die Because of Medical Negligence

HRANA News Agency – An imprisoned woman with high blood pressure in the Rey (Qarchak) prison, died following the negligence by the prison authorities. Another female prisoner suffered a heart attack in this prison. Also in Evin prison, a prisoner was transferred to prison clinic following a heart attack but lost his life due to lack of medical attention and not being sent to the hospital.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on January 16, 2017, at 9 am, a prisoner named Said Nohi from ward 7 of Evin prison following was taken to the prison infirmary after suffering a heart attack but lost his life due to lack of medical attention and not being sent to the hospital. Doctors Confirm Mehdi Rajabian Suffers from MS

HRANA News Agency – The doctors in Imam Khomeini Hospital confirmed that Mehdi Rajabian, imprisoned artist in Evin Prison is suffering from MS. Close relatives of Mr. Rajabian believe that the lack of medical treatment in prison was the cause of the disease.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on Monday, December 26, 2016, Mehdi Rajabian after suffering from permanent headaches, severe weakness and given the history of his illness was transferred to Imam Khomeini hospital and the doctors of the hospital by examining the documents, confirmed that he was suffering from MS. Foundation of Martyrs Doesn’t Recognize Baha’i Soldiers Who Died During the War

HRANA News Agency –Baha’i family of a soldier who died during the war at the front in Piranshahr had written a letter to the Foundation of Martyrs and called to recognize the soldier who defended the homeland as a “martyr” and create a precedent for him. The Head of Foundation of Martyrs in Miandoab in response to the soldier’s mother’s demand, had written that because “he was a member of Bahai sect” and based on the regulations, the possibility of filing does not exist for him or the same person or people, whether veterans or victims.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Muhiddin Zehni from Miandoab at the end of his military service during the war lost his life in Davoodabadi base in Piranshahr on August 19, 1986. Ali Zahedi’s Case Awaiting the Judiciary’s Decision Since 1 Year

HRANA News Agency – Ali Zahedi, political prisoner in ward 350 of Evin prison is waiting for the set of equivalent branch since more than a year ago while his furlough has been refused.

Bahman Darolshafaei Sentenced to Fine by the Court of Appeal

Golrokh Ebrahimi Irai and Saeed Eghbali Arrested by IRGC Forces

HRANA News Agency – Golrokh Ebrahimi Irai was arrested by the Sarullah Guards agents, when she was leaving her house and was transferred to the law-enforcement office in Evin prison. Mrs. Irai was arrested along with Saeed Eghbali, a friend of her husband, and was transferred to an unknown location.

Vendors Under Additional Pressure of Authorities in Ahwaz

Women’s Ward of Evin: 1 Released, 3 Sent to Furlough and 1 Exiled

HRANA News Agency – Nazila Hamidova (Hamidov), a citizen of Azerbaijan Republic in women’s ward in Evin prison, was released from this prison. Maryam Zargaran, Leila Jafari, and Setodeh Fazeli were sent to furlough from the same ward and Marjan Davari was sent to Rey Women Prison (Qarchak).
