HRANA News Agency – Six members of Erfan Halgheh, attended the court of culture and media, and sued IRIB for broadcasting a documentary called “Ring of Satan” because of spreading lies.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), six members of Erfan Halgheh attended the fourth branch of the court of culture and the media, with their complaints under the title of; “spreading lies and disturbing public opinion by broadcasting a documentary, called; Halgheh Sheitan (Ring of Satan) and publishing materials including violating honour or dignity” against the IRIB. HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Hossein Karroubi was sentenced to six months imprisonment, due to publishing the letter of his father, Mehdi Karroubi, to Hassan Rouhani, regarding a public trial.

HRANA News Agency – After the consent of the acid attack victim, the blinding sentence of Mojtaba Yasavoli was stopped and this prisoner was released. Retribution of an eye of Mr. Yasavoli was the first sentence in Iran after 56 years after the law was passed, and it was executed in March 2015.

HRANA News Agency – Arash Sadeghi, prisoner of ward number 350, and Golrokh Irai prisoner of women’s ward in Evin prison are banned from monthly visits based on an arbitrary order of the prosecutor. This ban is applied while Arash Sadeghi is suffering from different diseases following a long term hunger strike, and is still denied by Sarallah corps of revolutionary guards from being transferred to hospital. This illegal deprivation has raised concerns about the health condition of Arash Sadeghi.

HRANA News Agency – Osman Mostafapour, political prisoner in Urmia prison has begun the 27th year of his imprisonment without furlough. In 1994, He was sentenced to a total of 35 years in prison in two separate cases.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Osman Mostafapour, born in 1967, was arrested on July 14, 1991. He was sentenced to death on charge of murder by branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court in Urmia by Judge Javaheri. The sentence was commuted to 10 years imprisonment in 2000. HRANA News Agency – One of the lawyers of Marjan Davari, researcher and translator on death row told, “we have objected the verdict but the court has not set a branch.” Marjan Davari, 50, after being transferred from women’s ward of Evin prison to the prison in Rey (Qarchak Women’s Prison) in February, was sentenced to death. One of the charges against Ms. Davari is membership in the emerging movement of “Eckankar”.
