HRANA News Agency – An estimated number of 50 Political prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj have been transferred to a new security ward. In this ward, where even bathrooms are equipped with CCTV cameras, there are more limits for prisoners. This new situation has prompted political prisoners to protest. 12 prisoners have gone on hunger strike and 6 inmates are in solitary confinement. Tensions in this ward continue.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), with the presence of a large number of prison guards, and without prior notice, about 50 political prisoners in Hall 12 of Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj were transferred to a place which has been built from a long time ago by the security forces. This site is equipped with a large number of surveillance cameras and surveillance devices, as well as shields that separate it from the rest of the prison. Alireza Tajiki, Juvenile Offender Executed in Shiraz
HRANA News Agency – Alireza Tajiki who had been kept in Adelabad prison in Shiraz on charge of murder since the age of 15, was executed on August 10, 2017, despite repeated requests from human rights organizations and ambiguities in the case.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Ehsan Neisari, 16, was killed in the city of Fasa in 2011. A 15-year-old teenager namely Alireza Tajiki was arrested on charge of this murder. After a while, the death sentence was issued for the teenager on charge of rape and murder. Hossain Mehrandish Released on the Bail
HRANA News Agency – Hossain Mehrandish, a lawyer who had been arrested by the order of the judge in branch number 29 during defending his client in Shahid Madani court was released by the help of a group of lawyers and putting the bail. After being arrested and beaten in the head, he was transferred to a medical centre because of a heart failure where he was again beaten by an officer of police station number 148 of Enghelab.
A close source to Mr. Mehrandish’s family told HRANA’s reporter about the details of that incident, “Mr. Mehrandish was few minutes late in a session that he had in branch number 29 of Tehran, and realized that the secretary was reporting the absence of the lawyer. Mr. Mehrandish told him: ‘I am here, I was just a little bit late.’ Despite that, that secretary told him that he was late. The judge sided with the secretary, but he responded that ‘I am a lawyer and I have no reason to lie. If you want to side with your secretary that is your choice.’ Then the judge ordered him out of room and the security of court arrested him”. Pressures Rise on Prisoners of Rajai Shahr Prison
HRANA News Agency – Thousands of prisoners in Rajai shahr prison in Karaj, are suffering from health and respiratory problems more than before. That is due to the lack of ventilation systems after the closure of fresh air to the Halls and rooms in this prison. In addition, during the recent months, prisoners have reported the spread of headaches and nausea among prisoners following the installation of a large number of parasite devices in the prison.

Arash Shoa Sharq Sentenced to Lashes
HRANA News Agency – Arash Shoa Sharq, 24-year-old journalist, has been sentenced to lashes and imprisonment by Branch 107 of the Penal Court of the city of Rasht. Mr. Shoa Sharq, who has the responsibility of “Gilan Noo”, or “New Gilan”, was tried on the complaint made by “one of the deposed directors of the government”. This journalist had been previously sentenced to 40 lashes because of a complaint made by the MP of Rasht city, which was suspended by the Court of Appeals. If this new sentence will be confirmed, the former sentences, including 40 lashes, will be applicable, too.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Arash Shoa Sharq has been sentenced to 75 lashes and 3 months suspended imprisonment, due to a complaint made by the former Director of Libraries of Gilan province and on charges of “spreading lies through” and “publication of photographs of the plaintiff in the website”, by the head of Branch 107 of the Criminal Court of Rasht city. Elderly Political Prisoner in Critical Health Condition in Women’s Ward of Evin Prison
HRANA News Agency – Nooshin Dokht Mir Abdulbaqi, 64, prisoner in women’s ward of Evin prison, in addition to aging and suffering from several physical and mental diseases, has got developed Alzheimer’s and her intolerance of serving imprisonment has been certified by a doctor. She has been sentenced to 34 years and 9 months imprisonment. In addition to multiple charges of insulting the head and founder of Iranian regime, she has been accused of “demonizing women’s condition and life in Iran.”
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Noshin Dokht Mir Abdulbaqi, born in 1952, suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and schizophrenia. In the winter of 2014, she was arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence and after about a month of interrogations and solitary confinement in ward 209 of Evin Prison, she was transferred to the women’s ward of this prison on March 19, 2015. Two Prisoners Executed in Tabriz Prison
HRANA News Agency – With authentication of the identity of another prisoner who was executed in Tabriz Central Prison, the number of executions in this prison in one day rose to two. Both prisoners had been charged with murder and had been sentenced to death.
