HRANA News Agency – A prisoner in Rajaei Shahr prison, who complained about “public” sexual relationship between some prisoners was beaten by ward’s personnel and exiled to another section. In addition, authorities of this section, made him naked to humiliate him.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Nader Mohammadi, a prisoner from Saghez city who is on death row on charge homicide, is currently serving in ward number two (Dar Al Quran) of Rajaei Shahr prison. He had started a hunger strike in protest to public sexual relationship between prisoners and ignorance of officials and was beaten and humiliated, and transferred to another section as a punishment. Sotudeh Fazeli in Undecided Situation in Evin Prison
HRANA News Agency – Sotudeh Fazeli, 64, retired teacher and political prisoner, is serving in Evin prison while she is suffering from multiple diseases. She is a cancer survivor and finished the chemotherapy very recently, in addition to her medical problems and not having a fair trial, she has lost her mother during past weeks. Despite the death of her mother and norm of bureau of prisons, her request for a furlough even for few hours was rejected.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Sotudeh Fazeli is a 64-year-old prisoner who is being kept in women’s ward in Evin prison. She was arrested in 2011 by intelligence service and after 31 days in ward 209, was released temporarily in March 2011.
Sometimes later, she was summoned to the revolutionary court and tried by Abulghasem Salavati. Even though her 3 years of imprisonment on charge of acts against the national security was told her orally, but she never received any formal document.
Because the sentence is not officially announced, she could not appeal. This senior prisoner was arrested on June 9, 2016 and transferred to women’s ward in Evin prison, in order to serve her 3 years.
Sotudeh Fazeli is diagnosed with thalassemia, and very recently finished the chemotherapy sessions. In the current condition, proper medical treatment is not available for her. She is also suffering from high blood pressure, and eye disease.
During past week, her family requested a furlough so that she could attend her mother’s funeral which was rejected by the prosecutor and the prosecutor deputy, Mr. Haji Moradi.
Masoumeh Haj ABdulrahim Khabaz, Mrs. Fazeli’s mother had requested to see her daughter in the last days of her life, which was denied despite the efforts made by the family for the approval of the furlough and even consent of Mrs. Fazeli to be transferred with handcuffs and in escort, and only for few hours.
Need to be mentioned, Mrs. Fazeli’s brother, Seyed Shamsodin Fazeli was arrested in 1982 and after three years of being in an undecided condition executed in 1985, without noticing the family and when he was only 20, by fire squad.
Mrs. Fazeli had worked for 30 years as a teacher and principal in educational system and was retired recently.
One Prisoner Exeucted in Bushher
HRANA News Agency – A prisoner was executed after serving more than 10 years in prison, in central prison of Bushehr.

Hot Water; A Constant Problem in Women’s Ward of Evin Prison
HRANA News Agency – Cutting out the warm water in women’s ward of Evin prisoners has started since one month ago. This lack of access is while health facilities is in its minimum level and caused health and hygienic problems. Women in this ward also suffer from lack of access to warm and cooling system.

Police Beat Arrested Lawyer with Heart Problems
HRANA News Agency – Hossain Mehrandish, judiciary lawyer, was arrested following the order of the judge in branch number 29, while he was defending his client. He who had heart failure following the tension was transferred to the hospital while being in police custody. At least one of the police officers hit the chest of this lawyer for no obvious reason. This could have had deadly consequence for someone in this situation. Hossain Mehrandish is currently in Rajai Shahr prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Hossain Mehrandish who was defending his client in Shahid Madany court, was arrested by the order of the judge in branch 29 with the allegation of insulting the judge. 7 Years after Farzad Kamangar’s Execution; No Information about His Burial Location
HRANA News Agency – Farzad Kamangar, teacher and human rights activist, and 4 other political prisoners with the names of Ali Haidarian, Shirin Alamhouly, Farhad Vakili, and Mehdi Islamian, were executed in Evin prison parking in secrecy, after a flawed trial and judicial process, without informing their lawyers and families on May 9th, 2010. After 7 years from this execution, yet there is no information regarding the burial location of their bodies.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the execution of Farzad Kamangar and four other prisoners happened during an unprecedented wave of national and international protests, while according to documents in the lawsuit, the judicial process of these cases were flawed and in violation of law, including illegal arrest, long term solitary confinement, prevention from having access to lawyers after the arrest, mental and physical tortures, especially for three of them in Sanandaj and Kermanshah detention centers of intelligence, in addition to multiple cases of violation of law, in which at least three of them (Farzad Kamangar, Farhad Vakili and Ali Haidarian) did not have chance to defend themselves and were charged with Muharebeh in a 7-minute-long trial and sentenced to death. A Prisoners Committed Suicide in Ghezelhesar Prison and Died
HRANA News Agency – A young prisoner committed suicide in Ghezelhesar prison on May 1st and due to delay in response and transferring him to the clinic, he died in section number 2 of the prison.

At Least 7 Prisoners Executed in Rajai Shahr Prison
HRANA News Agency – At least 7 prisoners who had been sentenced to death on charge of homicide, were executed in Rajai Shahr prison. Meanwhile execution of Mehdi Bohlouli who has committed murder when he was 17 years old, was stopped again.

Omar Farhang; 9 Year of Imprisonment Without Medical Furlough
HRANA News Agency – Omar Farhang, political prisoner who is serving his 10 years in prison sentence in exile is currently being kept in central prison of Ardabil. He has been deprived of having medical treatment and being transferred to hospital, despite suffering from different diseases like hemorrhoids and skin diseases, in addition to an appearing lump in his throat that is suspicious of being cancer.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Omar Farhang, born in 1972, is married and father of two children and used to live in Uremia city.
