Mohammad Ali Taheri’s Followers Gathered in front of Evin Prison for the 2nd Day

HRANA News Agency – For the second day, some of the followers of Mohammad Ali Taheri gathered in front of Evin prison within a campaign called “migration to prison” and some were arrested and transferred to an unknown location.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), a group of Mohammad Ali Taheri’s followers gathered in front of Evin prison and asked to be arrested, on Thursday December 15, 2016. They stated that beating Mr. Taheri and his followers is unjustifiable and announced that “if being like Mr. Taheri is a crime, then we are also criminals”. Supporters of Mohammad Ali Taheri Submitted Themselves to Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – A group of supporters of Muhammad Ali Taheri voluntarily referred to Evin prison and at least 41 of them were detained and transferred to Great Prison of Tehran Bozorg (Fshafvyh) and the Women’s Prison in Ray (Qarchak). They protested against detention of Mohammad Ali Taheri.

2 Imprisoned Brothers in Critical Health Condition in Sanandaj Prison

HRANA News Agency – Hossain Daneshmand and Hasan Daneshmand were arrested in Tehran and Marivan by Iranian Revolutionary Guards. While the brothers were transferred to Sanandaj Prison, Hussein Daneshmand suffered from bleeding of kidney and severe pains and has been deprived of basic health care.
According to a report received by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Hossain Daneshmand and Hasan Daneshmand who were arrested in Tehran and Marivan by Iranian Revolutionary Guards, were transferred to Sanandaj Prison on November 10. Atena Daemi Charged in a New Case

HRANA News Agency – Atena Daemi, imprisoned human rights activist was charged at Shahid Moghadas court in Evin prison on December 19 because of being sued by IRGC officers.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on December 19, Atena Daemi was charged with insulting the Supreme Leader, publishing lies, insulting the authorities, preventing the implementation of warrants and beating the duty officer in the fourth branch of the Shahid Moghdas court in Evin prison. At Least 2 Prisoners Executed in Arak

On December 25, at least two prisoners were hanged in Arak. Also on December 27, in Tabriz a prisoner who was transferred for execution, was returned to the ward after his sentence was postponed.

The Campaign of ‘Rights of Prisoners’ Launched by a Letter of Atena Daemi

HRANA News Agency – Recently a campaign with the hashtag #right-of-prisoner with the aim of calling the head of prisons to respect the rights of inmates such as access to health care, has been launched based on the international law. The campaign has been organized on the basis of Atena Daemi’s letter before going to jail, by United for Iran.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Atena Daemi, jailed human rights activist wrote in a letter: “Today some of the bravest and most committed citizens are imprisoned because of their political, civil and human rights activities and authorities are refusing the provision of health care to prisoners by clearly violating domestic and international laws. At Least 4 Men Executed in Karaj

HRANA News Agency – On January 3, 2017, at least four prisoners with drug-related charges were hanged at the central prison of Karaj.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on January 3, 2017, four prisoners with drug-related charges were hanged. Hadi Moghaddam (carrying 1 kg of glass), Ali Nuri (carrying 1 kg of glass) and Alireza Haji Firuz Abadi, and a prisoner with an unknown identity are the 4 executed men. A Prisoner Committed Suicide and Died in Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – On December 5, a 28-year-old prisoner from Kouhdasht in Lorestan who was serving his life sentence in Rajai Shahr prison committed suicide. The prisoner died before being transferred to the medical centers.
