HRANA News Agency – Rajaei Shahr prison authorities prevented Navid Khanjani, imprisoned human rights activist, from being transferred to the forensic due to his refusal from wearing prison uniform and handcuffs and shackles.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Rajaei Shahr prison authorities prevented Navid Khanjani, imprisoned human rights activist in hall number 12 of this prison from being transferred to the forensic, due to his refusal from wearing “contaminated prison uniform” and usage of handcuffs and shackles, on December 13, 2016. Making Money from Prisoners Who Need Warm Clothes in Ghezelhesar Prison

HRANA News Agency – While by the order of Prisons Organization, “warm cloths and blankets” should be given to the prisoners usually in December, this year it was banned by prison management and prisoners have to get required warm clothes from the prison shop, which has low quality and much higher prices than outside of prison. The main problem is that most of these prisoners cannot afford such prices.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), receiving clothes and blankets which every year were announced usually in late December as a norm by prisons organization, has been banned by Ghezelhesar prison’s management. The Sentences of 3 Sunni Prisoners Reduced to 12 Years

HRANA News Agency – The appeal court reduced the sentences of three Sunni prisoner in Rajaei Shahr prison, to 12 years in prison. These prisoners who had previously been sentenced to death, were sentenced to 15 years in prison after the supreme court reject the sentence, and their retrial.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the sentence of 15 years in prison of three Sunni prisoners of Rajaei Shahr with the names of Taymoor Naderizadeh, Farshid Naseri and Farzad Shahnazari, who are being kept in hall number 21 in ward 7, were reduced to 12 years in prison in the appeal court. Homayoon Panahi Still Under Detention in Shiraz

HRANA News Agency – The trial session of Homayoon Panahi, poet, and philosophy researcher was held and two charges were laid on this Hamedani poet. Mr. Panahi has been in custody since his arrest in Pasardag.

Concerns Rise about Putting New Pressure on Sunni Prisoners

HRANA News Agency – Sunni prisoners of Rajaei Shahr are being kept in very bad conditions. However, these conditions could become even worse if they would be transferred to their previous hall and new pressures could be imposed on them.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Sunni prisoners in hall number 21 of section 7 in Rajaei Shahr prison of Karaj, are being kept in very bad conditions. However, there are concerns that they would be transferred to hall number 10 of ward number 4, which is the place that the executed prisoners were being kept, and consequently they would face new level of pressure by security authorities. Navid Kamran Deprived of Proper Medical Treatment in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Navid Kamran is a civil rights activist who is imprisoned in ward number 8 of Evin prison. Mr. Kamran needs two surgery operations, due to cutting his sensory nerves, motor impairment and platinum implant in his right leg fibula. Despite the recommendation of forensic, he still is being deprived of proper treatment.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Navid Kamran who has old injuries on his right leg fibula and ankle, is facing motor impairment and movement difficulties. This problem has become worse due to heating problems in the prison and lack of warm water, and necessity of taking the stairs, and improper beds in the prison. Political Prisoners Deprived of Visiting Their Imprisoned Family Members

HRANA News Agency – Some of the political prisoner of Rajaei Shahr in Karaj, whose siblings or other family members are imprisoned, too have monthly visits with them. But they were deprived of it for the second time, because of their refusal from wearing prison uniform and being in handcuffs and shackles.
