One Prisoner Died in Tabriz Prison / Habib Sasanian in Critical Health Condition

HRANA News Agency – Muhammad Esalari, prisoner in ward 12 in Tabriz Central Prison, following a severe heart pain called for medical attention, but instead of being transferred to the infirmary of the prison, he was accused of malingering by the authorities and transferred to special ward and he eventually lost his life. And also Habib Sasanian, political prisoner in this ward suffers from medical problems and called for medical attention, but he was accused of malingering by the authorities and transferred to special ward in the same way.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Muhammad Esalari fiscal prisoner in ward 12 in Tabriz Central Prison, following a severe heart pain called for medical attention, but the authorities prevented him from being transferred to the infirmary of the prison and accused him of malingering and transferred him to special ward and he eventually lost his life. Another Group of Mohammad Ali Taheri’s Supporters Submitted Themselves to Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – On December 13, a group of supporters of Mohammad Ali Taheri, submitted themselves to Evin Prison. They considered Mr. Taheri being imprisoned and his disciples being beaten, as unjustified and announced “If having Mr. Taheri’s opinions is a crime so we are guilty and we should be arrested.”

Morteza Moradpoor Released from Central Prison of Tabriz

HRANA News Agency – On December 30, 2016, Morteza Moradpoor political prisoner in Tabriz Central Prison who had ended his hunger strike on its sixty-fifth day was released. Mr. Moradpour after being released due to his poor health and medical problems caused by long hunger strike was taken to the medical center.

Golrokh Irai Released / Arash Sadeghi Ended His Hunger Strike

HRANA News Agency – On January 3, 2017, Golrokh Irai was released on furlough from women’s ward of Evin prison, so Arash Sadeghi in ward 8 of the prison ended his hunger strike on its 72nd day.

Morteza Moradpoor Ended His Hunger Strike

HRANA News Agency – Morteza Moradpoor, political prisoner of central prison of Tabriz, ended his hunger strike after 65 days, on the request of his mother.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Morteza Moradpoor responded to a message from his mother, Masoumeh Amani who requested him to end the strike, and he ended it on the 65th day of the strike, on December 28. HRANA News Agency – Mehdi Kukhian and Karim Chaichian have gone on hunger strike by sewing their lips since their transfer from Malekan Police to Maragheh Prison, on December 21, 2016.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mehdi Kukhian and Karim Chaichian were arrested at their houses by security forces on December 19, 2016. One Prisoner Executed in Central Prison of Tabriz

HRANA News Agency – On December 28, a prisoner who had been charged with possession and transportation of drugs was hanged in the central prison of Tabriz. He had been transferred to solitary confinement in prison on December 27, and after a few hours he was returned to the ward, but on December 28, was once again he was moved to the solitary confinement and his sentence was carried out.
