Atena Farghdani and Ghoncheh Ghavami on ‘dry’ hunger strike
HRANA News Agency – Atena Farghdani and Ghoncheh Ghavami, who are in the same cell at ward 2A, went on ‘dry’ hunger strike from day ten of their hunger strike.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Atena Farghdani and Ghoncheh Ghavami, who are held in the same cell at ward 2A of Revolutionary Guard in Evin prison, are on hunger strike since about 11 days ago and since October 11th are on ‘dry’ hunger strike. Nahid Gorji has been arrested in Mashhad
HRANA News Agency – Two nights ago, Nahid Giji, resident of Mashhad was arrested by security forces for being active in social media. She has been transferred to an unknown location.

“Masoumeh Zia” and “Maliheh Biganian” released from prison
HRANA News Agency – On Sunday afternoon, October 12th, “Masoumeh Zia” and “Maliheh Biganian” were released from Evin Prison on bail.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), from the four followers of the “Erfan-e-Halghe” transferred to Evin Prison, “Masoumeh Zia” and “Maliheh Biganian” were released on bail. “Narges Farhadi” who refused to provide the bail remained in prison. Bahai youth sentenced in Shiraz
HRANA News Agency – Farhud Yazdani, an 18-year-old Bahai living in Shiraz, has been sentenced to one year in prison, for participating in social networks used to plan a mass water-fight in Be`sat Park in Shiraz.

“Masoume Zia” transferred to IRGC Intelligence Ward at Evin
HRANA News Agency – “Masoumeh Zia” who was arrested in the gathering of “Erfan-e-Halgheh” Faith(Interuniversalism) followers, was transferred to Ward 2-A (supervised by the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution Intelligent Services) at Evin Prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA),Masoumeh Zia was previously arrested on the charge of participating in the Women’s gathering at “Haft-e-Tir” Square on 12 June, 2006. After she attended the “Erfan-e-Halgheh” faith (Interuniversalism) gathering in protest to the arrest of Mohamad Ali Taheri in front of the Islamic Revolutionary Court, she was arrested and transferred to Ward 2-A (IRGC) at Evin Prison. October to October- Annual review of executions in Iran 2013-2014
HRANA News Agency – Just like the previous years’ custom, on 10 October “the 12th anniversary of World Day Against Death Penalty”, Office of Statistics and Publications of the Human Rights Activists Association of Iran has published a report , reviewing the last year in the domain of Executions in Iran. (It is important to clarify that considering the recent Report of the Special Rapporteur on human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran about executions in Iran, there will be differences in statistics and numbers provided in that report with the one published by HRANA due to their difference in time scale).
It has been mentioned on the following report that during the period of 10 October, 2013, to 09 October, 2014, at least 548 citizens were executed by Hanging. This number shows 2% increase compared to the same period for 2 years ago. Death penalties and executions are carried out while most of the accused are deprived of a fair trial in Iran. In addition, as the activity of any independent Human Rights Groups in Iran is banned by the government, this report cannot be considered as comprehensive and inclusive of all cases. Ahmad Karimi deprived of telephone calls and prison visits
HRANA News Agency- Ahmad Karimi, political prisoner in Gonbad Kawoos prison, is deprived of calling or visiting his family and relatives and has been moved to the worst ward of this prison.

Arjang Davoodi sentenced to extra 2 years in prison
HRANA News Agency – The two years in prison sentence of the political prisoner, Arjang Davoodi was confirmed without issuance of notification, while human rights organizations are concerned about death penalty in the other case that is still open.
