11 Sunni activists arrested in Ahwaz

HRANA News Agency – 11 Arab Sunni activists have been arrested during last week in Ahwaz.

A jailed trade unionist in critical health condition

HRANA News Agency – Shahrokh Zamani has been transferred to the clinic of Rajai Shahr Prison on April 19th and 20th.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Shahrokh Zamani had ended his hunger strike after 39 days after being transferred to the political prisoners’ ward, however the authorities transferred him to the non-political prisoners’ ward after only one day and he began his hunger strike again demanding to be returned to the political prisoners’ ward in Rajai Shahr Prison. An Azeri political prisoner on day 8th of hunger strike

HRANA News Agency – Ayat Mehrali Baigloo, the Azeri political prisoner in central prison of Tabriz, is on day 8th of his hunger strike.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ayat Mehrali Baigloo, is on hunger strike in protest at: summoning and threatening the families of political prisoners, exiling the political prisoners in order to make more difficulties for their families, rejection of requests to be transferred to their own cities, inspection of their houses violently and terrorizing their families and banning them from having furlough, since Tuesday, April 15. Adnan Hasanpoor transferred back to Marivan prison

Four Sunni prisoners still in danger of execution

HRANA News Agency – Four Sunni prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison in Iran are still in danger of execution, despite promises by the Iranian authorities to revoke their death sentences.

 

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the death sentences for the men, Hamed Ahmadi, Jamshed Dehghani, Jahangir Dehghani and Kamal Molayee, were confirmed by the Supreme Court, and their cases were sent to the Implementation of Sentences court, Branch 1 of Shahid Moghadasi court in Tehran. HRANA News Agency – 10 prisoners who were transferred to solitary confinement, are back to ward 350. Injured prisoners are still in solitary confinement and on hunger strike.

Arjang Davoodi was transferred to ward 209 of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Arjang Davoodi, who was exiled to Bandar Abbas prison, has been transferred to ward 209 of Evin prison for another interrogation.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Arjang Davoodi, the political prisoner of central prison of Bandar Abbas, has been transferred first to the police station number 106 of Shahid Namjou in Tehran and then to branch number 26 of revolutionary court for new investigations regarding the charge of insulting the supreme leader, by chief judge Pirabbasi. 2 political prisoners are on hunger strike in Tabriz Prison

HRANA News Agency – Arash Mohammadi and Ayat Mehrali Baigloo, the political prisoners of central prison of Tabriz, have started their hunger strike since April 15th, in protest at the pressure of the intelligence and security forces to political prisoners’ families

Prison guards raiding ward 350 of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – 31 political prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement and their belongings were destroyed, some of them are in critical condition in solitary confinements.
 
“Ismael Barzegari’s ribs were broken, Soheil Babadi’s arm and neck were bruised, Soroush Sabet’s head was bleeding, Samko Khelghatis clothes were torn, Gholamreza Khosravi and Reza Akbari were severely injured, Asadollah Hadi faced heart problem because he had recently an open operation on his heart. Ali Asghar Mahmoudian has been arrested again

HRANA News Agency – Authorities did not deduct the three years that Ali Asghar Mahmoudian had served in detention and he is arrested again.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ali Asghar Mahmoudian was arrested align with his wife, Kefayat Malekmohammadi, in January 2010. After three years in uncertainty, he was sentenced to 6 years in prison in exile, in branch number 15 of the revolutionary court, by chief judge Salavati.
