Death Sentences of 3 Sunni Prisoners Commuted by the Supreme Court

HRANA News Agency – After the “Black Monday” in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj when by transferring 37 Sunni prisoners under tight security measurements to solitary confinement, at least 20 of them were executed, reportedly the execution of three Sunni prisoners have been canceled and they were sentenced to 15 years imprisonment.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the death sentences of three Sunni prisoners namely Taimor Naderizadeh, Farzad Shahnazari, Farshid Naseri have been rejected in the Supreme Court and after returning to branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran, their sentences have been changed to 15 years in prison. 24 Shops of Baha’is in Sari Sealed

HRANA News Agency – During the first days of November, at least 24 shops belonging to Baha’is were sealed in Sari, Mazandaran provincial capital.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on November 1 and 2 that mark the “birth of Bahá’u’lláh and Bob – founder of the Babi and Baha’i religion”, at least 24 shops of Baha’i citizens have been sealed by law enforcement agencies in Sari. Siavash Koliaie Summoned to the Court and Interrogated

HRANA News Agency – On October 9, 2016, Siavash Koliaie, one of Yarsan activists in Takestan in Qazvin who had been summoned to the court was interrogated. Mr. Koliaie had been arrested by security forces several months ago.

A Report about 3 Imprisoned Activists of the Right to Education

HRANA News Agency – Navid Khanjani, Ighan Shahidi, and Vahed Kholosi, three Baha’is and defenders of the right to education, who had been arrested between 2009 and 2010, by the security forces, are still in Rajai Shahr prison for their peaceful activities within the framework of claiming the right to education, especially for young Baha’is, who are deprived of education.

Seraj Azadi Deprived of Higher Education

HRANA News Agency – Like every year along with the results of exams to enter the universities, there are some reports indicating exclusion of Baha’is from higher education due to their religious beliefs. Seraj Azadi, young Baha’i resident of Abadan, is one of the most recent examples of this exclusion and has been prohibited from continuing his education.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Seraj Azadi, born in 1998, a Baha’i resident of Abadan faced with “defect in application”, like many other Baha’i students, after the announcement of exam results of national tests and so the opportunity to enroll and continue his education has been taken away from him. Dozens of Civilians Arrested in Bukan

HRANA News Agency – Security forces raided the home of a large number of civilians in Bukan in an organized attack, and while beating them arrested a numerous number of them. There are dozens arrested, including “youth and some of the imams and scholars and students of Islamic madrasas.”
