Maryam Naghash Zargaran’s Furlough Won’t be Extended

HRANA News Agency – On June 19, Tehran’s prosecutor’s office has refused the extended medical leave of Maryam Naghash Zargaran, former imprisoned Christian in women’s ward of Evin prison although she needs further treatments. By regard to this, she should show up in the prison soon.  Ms. Zargaran had been sent to medical leave after eleven days of hunger strike. She has written a letter in this regard and her status which was provided for HRANA.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on June 19, Tehran’s prosecutor’s office has refused to extend the medical leave of Maryam Naghash Zargaran who had been sent to medical furlough after eleven days of hunger strike on June 6. Leila Abdi Nejad Might be Released on the Bail

HRANA News Agency – The bail of 2 billion IRR was issued for Leila Abdi Nejad, Christian convert from Mehrshahr of Karaj who earlier was reported to be held in ward 209 of Evin prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Leila Abdi Nejad, daughter of Moses and married is a Christian convert from Mehrshahr of Karaj in Alborz province and has been arrested at her home by the security forces. Navid Khanjani Transfered to Hospital

HRANA News Agency – Navid Khanjani, a Bahai social activist, has been transferred from Raja’i Shahr prison to hospital for treatment. He has physical health problems, a weakened immune system and a sudden weight loss, of about 20 kilograms (44 lbs) in two months.
According to the report of Human Rights Activist News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on March 2 2010, after protests against the elections of 20091, under the human rights activists detention project operated by the Intelligence Office of the Islamic Guards, Navid Khanjani was detained at his family home in Isfahan and transferred to section 2-A of the Islamic Guards Detention Center for some time. In August 2012, in the course of helping with earthquake relief in the Iranian province of Azerbaijan, he was arrested, and on September 5, he was moved to Ward 4, Hall 12 of Raja’i Shahr prison to carry out his sentence. Sunnis of Asadiyeh Protested to Plumbing their Praying Hall

HRANA News Agency – After plumbing the prayer hall of Sunni citizens in Asadiyeh in Darmian city of South Khorasan province, they gathered to protest in front of the buildings of Justice and Governor on June 16.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on June 15, the prayer hall of Sunni citizens in Asadiyeh of South Khorasan was plumbed. Following this action, the citizens of this settlement prayed outside the mosque and gathered to protest in front of the buildings of Justice and Governor on June 16.

The Praying Hall of Sunnis of Asadieh Sealed

HRANA News Agency – The prayer hall of Sunni citizens in Asadiyeh in Southern Khorasan was sealed due to not having a permission. This is while basically no permission is being issued for new prayer halls anymore.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), despite the high population of Sunni citizens in Southern Khorasan province, practicing the Sunni religious rituals in places like mosques and prayer halls is becoming even harder. HRANA News Agency – The followers of Yarsan held the third anniversary of self-immolation of Hasan Razavi one of Yarsan followers in Hamadan and gathered at his tomb.

2 Sunni Prisoners’ Trial Postponed

HRANA News Agency – Taimor Naderizad and Farzad Shah Nazarijo, two Sunni prisoners in Rajaee Shahr prison in Karaj were sent to the court on May 31, 2016 but were returned to the prison due to the absence of the judge. The trial of the two Sunni prisoners was postponed for the third time in the past 6 months due to the same reason.

8 Sunni Civilians Arrested in Mahabad

HRANA News Agency – At least eight Sunni residents of Mahabad and Bukan were arrested by the security forces and were transferred to unknown locations. The common denominator of these detainees is their religious background and activities.

7 Sunni Prisoners Sentenced to Death by the Revolutionary Court

HRANA News Agency – On May 25, 2016, the death sentences of seven Sunni prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison was notified to them. This verdict was issued by Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court headed by judge Moghiseh.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Davood Abdollahi, Kamran Sheikhi, Farhad Salimi, Anvar Khezri, Khosrow Besharat, Ghasem Abesteh and Ayoub Karimi, are the seven Sunnis prisoners who were detained since December 7, 2009 and have been sentenced to death.
