A Report about Asghar Ghatan’s Health Condition in Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Asghar Ghatan has been repeatedly detained and imprisoned due to the political activities since he was 14. The political prisoner is currently held in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj despite illness and repeated confirmation of his inability to endure imprisonment.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Asghar Ghatan, born in 1954, the last time was arrested by the intelligence forces on January 9, 2011 and after 45 days of interrogations in ward 209, he was released on the bail due to his illness and physical condition and by physician’s recommendation. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison for advocacy of MEK. (more…)

Asghar Ghatan In Critical Health Condition In Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Asghar Ghatan, political prisoner, despite his poor physical condition and his age is deprived of proper treatment in Rajai Shahr prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Asghar Ghatan, 60-year-old prisoner who, according to the doctors, needs multiple surgeries and ongoing medical care, is still taking a lot of painkillers and is held without treatment, in Rajai Shahr prison. (more…)

7 prisoners refused to visit the families in solidarity with Dervishes

HRANA News Agency – Seven prisoners of ward 350 of Evin prison refused to visit their families.

 

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), some of the prisoners of ward 350 of Evin prison refused to go to visit hall, in protest to medical negligence of political prisoners and forcing them to wear prison’s dress (refusal of wearing prison’s dress, due to its offensive effect, resulted in halts of medical treatments of many prisoners) on Monday March 10, 2014. More pressure on Evin political prisoners

HRANA News Agency – Following the recent protests of the prisoners, there is more pressure been put on the prisoners of section 350 of Evin prison.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), after the protests of the political prisoners in the section 350 of Evin prison which resulted transfer of 10 of them to solitaries for 10 days, an intelligence agent who has introduced himself as “Abbasi” is in this section some days during each week, calling the prisoners and threatening them not to participate in any kind of protest. The latest list of the political prisoners in the Evin prison

HRANA News Agency – There are more than 206 political prisoners in the 350 and women’s sections of the Evin prison. This includes both who have definite sentences and those who are under temporary arrest.

Although the section 350 is one of the public sections of the Evin prison, the prisoners there are prevented from their basic rights like telephone contact or meeting their families.
