On Monday, August 22, 2022, at least four protests took place in Iran.

In Isfahan, a number of farmers demonstrated in front of the Isfahan Regional Water Organization to demand their water portions and other issues.

A number of workers of Qazvin-based chemical and consumer goods Company Tolypers gathered and protested at their workplace. One of the workers said: “Since the beginning of the year, due to the raw material shortage, the factory productivity has been decreased and payments have been delayed for three to four months.”

A number of retirees of Tejarat Bank protested before the central building of this Bank in Tehran.

A number of residents of a district in Dehgolan County, Kurdistan Province, held a protest against mining activities, which have damaged farmlands, and water springs.

On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at least three protests and one labour strike took place in Iran.

The pensioners of the Social Security Organization gathered in Ahvaz and Bandar-Anzali to protest against the insufficient increase in pensions.

In Isfahan, a number of farmers demonstrated to demand for their water portions.

A group of workers of Golgohar Sirjan Mining and Industrial Company went on strike in protest against unpaid wages and not addressing their other issues.

On Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at least five protests took place in Iran.

In Shahrekord, about 500 people rallied in front of the Governor-General’s Office in protest against several-day long water outages. Video published by official media shows the heavy presence of the police and security forces among the crowd.

The retirees of the Homa Airline gathered in front of the company premises to protest against the merger of the company fund and the Civil Servants Pension Organization. Reportedly, the police and security forces blocked the streets led to the location of the protest and arrested several retirees who were going to join the protest.

A number of applicants for the nationwide university entrance exam gathered before the National Organization of Educational Testing to protest against the recently announced modifications in application and exams.

A number of farmers in Isfahan Province gathered before the Water and Waste Water Organization to demand their water portions.

The telecommunication staff from different cities came to Tehran and gathered before the Mobin Trust Consortium building. They asked for the official contracts for all employees who have been recruited by contractors.

On Sunday, July 24, at least five protests took place in Iran.

A group of farmers who are cultivating rapeseed gathered in front of the Governor’s Office in Behbahan to demand the rest of the payment for their sold rapeseed crops to the government.

A group of the Yazd Telecommunication Company’s staff gathered in front of the company’s central building. According to these protestors, four months after the new year, their salary and benefits have not yet been increased.

A group of students of the Sharif University of Technology protested against the food subsidy cuts for summer terms.

In Kermanshah, the pensioners of the Social Security Organization protested against an insufficient increase in pensions.

A number of residents of a district in Shahrekord, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, gathered in front of the Governor-general’s office to protest against the farmland allocation.

In Ahvaz, a number of pensioners continued their protest in front of the Governor’s office. They chanted slogans against the government and called the president a liar. According to the protestors, the government is obliged to increase the pensions in compliance with the Supreme Labour Council’s enactment.

A number of farmers and tractor drivers parked their tractors and gathered before the Governor’s office in Gatvand city, Khuzestan Province, to protest against decreasing fuel rations.

In recent days, the personnel of Keshavarzi Bank gathered in front of the headquarter of this bank as well as a chapel inside the building to protest against their poor living conditions.

A number of the medical staff of the Allameh Karami Hospital in Ahvaz held a protest to ask for their unpaid wages and benefits.

The citizens who lost their money in the cryptocurrency exchange Cryptoland gathered in front of the Public and Revolutionary Court in Tehran to ask for the return of their money. Reportedly, their deposits in the form of cryptocurrencies have been frozen.
