HRANA News Agency – Osman Mostafapoor, political prisoner of Uremia prison is serving his sentence since 25 years ago without furlough. He was sentenced to accumulation of 35 years, in two different cases by the revolutionary court.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Osman Mostafapoor (born in 1967) was arrested on July 14, 1991, and imprisoned the same year. He was sentenced to death in branch number one of the revolutionary court of Uremia on charge of accompanying in murder by judge Javaheri. This sentence was reduced to 10 years in prison in 2001. HRANA News Agency – The following list includes the names of prisoners of conscience and political prisoners in Ormia whose sentences in total regardless of pending cases, is up to 260 years in prison and five death row prisoners included. However, except a few cases (three Baha’is, a spy and one convicted after the elections in 2009), the majority of these prisoners have been alleged with holding connection, supporting or being active member of one of the Kurdish parties, and have been arrested, so that, only a brief mention of “cooperation with the Kurdish opposition” refers to this type of accusations. It should be noted that the following list is a primary list and probably will be updated with more information.

HRANA News Agency – Even 16 days after the hunger strike of 28 Political Prisoners at Urmieh Central Prison (Darya) and concerning health condition of some strikers, the prison authorities are committed to ignore their demands.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), since 20 November 2014, 29 Political Prisoners incarcerated at Ward 12 of Urmieh Central Prison have started an indefinite hunger strike in protest at the neglect of Separation of Crimes and other issues with their union. During the 9th day of their hunger strike “Mansour Around” a death row prisoner was suddenly exiled to Mahabad Prison. HRANA News Agency – The hunger strike of 29 political prisoners in central prison of Uremia has continued for its ninth day and one prisoner was transferred to Mahabad prison.
According to Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), prison authorities transferred Mansour Arvand, the prisoner who has sentenced to death and is on hunger strike along with 28 other political prisoners, to Mahabad without any previous note, on Saturday November 29.
