Ebrahim Firuzi Ended His Hunger Strike after 5 Days

HRANA News Agency – Ebrahim Firuzi, a Christian prisoner of conscience, ended his hunger strike after five days.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Ebrahim Firuzi who had begun a hunger strike from last Thursday, ended his hunger strike on Monday 24th August, on the fifth day and after the head of Rajai Shahr prison, Mardani, promised to do something for him, and treated and gave warning to the other prisoners in ward 10 of Rajai Shahr prison. Kurdish Man Executed while Awaiting Appeal of His Death Sentence

Behrouz Alkhani, a 30-year-old man from Iran’s Kurdish minority, was executed early this morning local time, said Amnesty International, despite the fact that he was awaiting the outcome of a Supreme Court appeal.

Behruz Alkhani Executed in Prison of Uremia

HRANA News Agency – Behruz Alkhani, political prisoner, was executed in Uremia prison and the authorities do not deliver his body to his family.

HRANA Published Full Text of Behruz Alkhani’s Court Sentence

HRANA News Agency – The following pictures are taken from Behruz Alkhani’s court sentence. He has been transferred to solitary confinement to be executed and had the last visit with his family already.

In the lack of transparency of Iranian judiciary, HRANA publsihed the court sentence to make the situation clearer. According to this sentence, despite accepting some charges under pressure, Behruz Alkhani has been denying the charge of murdering Khoy’s prosecutor and has stated that the act of terror was done before he would be active. Halt Execution of Kurdish Man due to be Carried Out Tomorrow Morning

Behrouz Alkhani, a 30-year-old man from Iran’s Kurdish minority has been transferred out of Oroumieh prison’s general ward and placed in solitary confinement in preparation for his execution tomorrow, despite the fact that he’s still awaiting the outcome of a Supreme Court appeal, said Amnesty International.

“The Iranian authorities must urgently halt Behrouz Alkhani’s execution. Carrying out a death sentence while a prisoner is awaiting the outcome of his appeal is a serious violation of both Iranian and international law, and is an affront to justice,” said Said Boumedouha, Deputy Director of the Middle East and North Africa Programme at Amnesty International. 4 Civil Activists in Tehran Sentenced to Imprisonments

HRANA News Agency – Arash Sadeghi, Golrokh Ebrahimi, Naveed Kamran and Behnam Mosivand have been sentenced by the Revolutionary Court Branch 15 to imprisonments.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on Saturday, 22nd August, primitive sentence of four civil activists was communicated in Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court to them. According to this verdict, Arash Sadeghi has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment, that in accordance with Article 134 of the Penal Code it will be reduced on the appeal court, Golrokh Ebrahimi was sentenced to six years imprisonment, and Navid Kamran and Behnam Mosivand were sentenced to 18 months imprisonment each. Nasrin Sotoudeh Summoned to the Court

HRANA News Agency – Nasrin Sotoudeh, jurist, charted solicitor and member of the Association of Human Rights Defenders, was summoned to the Court, Branch 2 in Evin.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Nasrin Sotoudeh, with announcing this news, said: “Last Sunday, I was notified by a judicial letter from court that was precisely the same as when a court summons a charged person, just it was not titled as “Summons Letter”.”
